You may also have heard that there are other kinds of Lots, such as the Lot of Spirit or Lot of Eros. But what do they mean? How are they calculated? How do you actually use them to interpret a birth chart? Astrologer Milo Offerein joins the podcast to answer these questions, and more.

The Lot of Fortune is a calculated point which takes the distance between the Moon and Sun and projects it from the ascendant. It signifies the material circumstances of your life and often points to an area of life that will hold special importance and where significant life events will take place.

The idea of a "Chart Ruler" is a popular one in modern astrology, as is the concept of a dominant planet. After all, it is only natural when confronted with the overwhelming amount of information contained in a birth chart that we search for a starting point of interpretation, a solid foundation upon which to work our way toward understanding the more nuanced elements of our lives through the chart. These idea is nothing new, and versions of it have been part of the tradition for thousands of years. However, the roles and criteria by which these "supreme rulers" of the chart are identified have undergone countless permutations over the centuries.

In this episode astrologer Tristan Paylor joins me to discus some of the different ways in which the "ruler of the chart" has been determined and and explore some of the ways to interpret them. We also explain how to calculate and determine the Predominator, The Master of the Nativity and the Almuten Figuris.
