Three Planets change signs this week—the Sun leaves Pisces to enter Aries on Monday, Pluto leaves Capricorn to enter Aquarius on Thursday, and Mars leaves Gemini to enter Cancer on Saturday. The transits reflect an Elemental shift from Water to Fire. They bring greater instability and change that can feel rough and destructive but also hopeful, exciting and freeing.

Five Planets—Moon, Sun, Mercury, Chiron and Jupiter are renewing themselves through the Fire of Aries and exploring their freedom through the adventurous sign this week. Aries symbolizes a new beginning and a turning point. Mars holds the Cardinal Fire frequencies of Aries. With so many Planets here, change is coming and it is happening fast.

Moon in Virgo opposite Sun in Pisces at 17°, on Tuesday, March 7th at 4:40 am PST reflects our capacity to see more clearly the pattern of unhealthy habits or addictions which is often rooted in relationship insecurities. The illumination sheds light on how we’ve been perceiving ourselves unkindly through others and channeling our reality obscurely through relationship. The Full Moon in Virgo supports a releasing of the past cycle that began with the New Moon in Virgo on August 27, 2022.

The lord of karma or personal responsibility, Saturn, leaves Aquarius to enter Pisces less than an hour after the exact opposition between the Sun and Moon on Tuesday, March 7th. The Elemental shift from the Fixed Air of Aquarius to the Mutable Water of Pisces occurs less than one week after Mercury, the ruler of Virgo left Aquarius to enter Pisces.

The transpersonal stage of development during the Balsamic phase and into the New Moon in Pisces last week completed the monthly emotional cycle. We begin another cycle of soul learning this week. The New Moon in Pisces wakes up from the deep sleep to greet the new dawn of Aries. The Moon is now fully in a new phase and the feeling is very fresh and vital.

The initial or cardinal light of Aries contains a tremendous force of passion for life. Its survival requires movement or action that tends the Cardinal Fire. Too little movement or airiness snuffs out the flame. Too much outward action without enough fuel or grounding in the physical needs burns out the fire. Fortunately, this week brings a cozy flow of Planetary conversations that supports a gentle birthing. We can all take that first newborn breath with a bit more ease.

The Full Moon in Leo matures into the Waning Gibbous or dissemination phase and reaches the final stage of interpersonal development as the Waxing Half Moon in Scorpio. At this stage of development we’re meant to communicate our feelings intentionally, in ways that feel impartial, harmonious and intimate.
Although, the Moon is not arriving at the exact last quarter square as a Waning Half Moon until next Monday, February 13 we can already feel the highly charged energy of Scorpio throughout this week. Pluto holds the Fixed Water frequencies of Scorpio. This week’s Pluto transit and the upcoming Half Moon in Scorpio set up the psychological groundwork for the deeper spiritual transformation during the New Moon in Pisces at the end of next week, on February 19.
The beginning of this week feels more easeful and collaborative. Connecting to intuition and expressing creative genius through friendship and partnership strengthen both social and spiritual integrity as long as we tune into and embody our emotions. The more we are willing to descend into our past emotional trauma that continues to poison us today the more we can embrace the opportunity to heal the psyche and transcend the mind.
