The crew gathers this week to check out Julian Schnabel’s (The Diving Bell and the Butterfly) At Eternity’s Gate starring Wilem Dafoe, Mads Mikkelsen, and Oscar Issac, in which Dutch painter Vincent Van Gogh imposes his own exile in Arles, France to develop the artistic style that would make him famous after his death. Pretty photography and incredible actors keep this boat afloat, but it seems a little lost at sea and leads the CineSight crew to wonder: are biopics bad?
