There are so many white paints to choose from. There are so many variations, cool whites, warm whites, cream, off white, different strengths. And it can be really confusing.

I get so many questions about this and I do a lot of work with clients on colour selections. Whether you're repainting a room or renovating your whole house it is so important to get it right.

So in this episode of At Home with Lauren Keenan, we take you through the difference between cool whites and warm whites, where you use them, and why natural light is the most important factor when making your colour choices.

Thousands of Australians have used the extra time at home this year to renovate and invest in their property. New data shows home improvement is one of the biggest trends in 2020.

One of the best ways you can freshen up your home is with a coat of paint. It's a great way to make an impact and change things up without breaking the bank.

But the process for choosing the right paint colour can be a bit complicated and messy. So in this episode of At Home with Lauren Keenan, we bring you the story of Australian startup Tint, a local business using technology to make it easier to choose colours and buy premium paint for your home.

The Block is one of the biggest shows on Australian TV. We're big fans. And we're talking to two contestants who are finishing one of the most challenging seasons yet.

Sydney couple Sarah and George are our special guests. They're getting ready to auction the home they've built in Melbourne in this year's series on Channel Nine alongside four other couples, right in the middle of the pandemic.

They've renovated a 1940's bungalow alongside four other homes from the 1910s through to the 1950s in the bayside suburb of Brighton, and now it's time to sell.

So in this episode of At Home with Lauren Keenan, your authority on home lifestyle and interior design, find out how they're feeling, just how hard it was and what they loved most about being on the show.

And if you want to apply to be on The Block in 2021, head to the Nine website to put in your application.

It feels good to help out - whether it's supporting local businesses or people living and working in your fav holiday spot.

This year has been tough, especially for some in regional Australia. There's been drought, bushfires and floods in some parts, followed by the impact of coronavirus, travel bans and the economic impact from the first recession in 30 years.

In this episode of At Home with Lauren Keenan, your authority on home lifestyle and interior design, we talk about how you can help make a difference this summer by shopping small, travelling local and supporting fellow our Aussies.

Hear from Grace McBride from Spend with Them, a massive social media movement profiling small businesses, food producers, designers and artisans in regional Australia affected by fires and the pandemic. And we take you to The Ruse, a very cool new Mexican bar and restaurant on the NSW South Coast with beautiful interiors to find out how they're getting ready for a big summer ahead.

Here are the links for Lauren's Lovely List recommendations in this episode: Get more interiors inspiration watching Dream Home Makeover with Studio McGee on Netflix; buy new tablecloths from the team at Australian company Bed Threads in their new 'Spreads' range; and get ready for summer with beautiful UPF50+ beach umbrellas from Sunday Supply Co.

It's been a weird year, and everyone's routine has changed. We reckon feeling comfortable and happy at home goes a long way to helping us all cope with challenges.

Eating a yum meal at a table that's set beautifully is a great way to finish the day. So in this episode of At Home with Lauren Keenan we share Lauren's tips to take your table styling up a notch to create a fun and slightly special mid-week dining experience at home.

Plus, we've been ordering meal kits for mid-week dinners for around 5 years because it's a great way to get healthy and tasty food in easy to prepare packs. Olivia Andrews, co-founder and head of culinary at Marley Spoon, joins us to talk about how it works and why meal kit delivery services are booming in the pandemic.

Olivia cooked in Gordon Ramsay's Michelin-starred restaurant in London, she has worked across a range of well-known food cooking shows and magazines, she's a cookbook author and an ambassador for Nutrition Australia's Try For 5 campaign to get us all eating more veggies.

Here are the links for Lauren's Lovely List recommendations in this episode: Buy exclusive Australian-made homewares at Victoria's Atley.co; create amazing exterior spaces with the brand new UV and weather resistant outdoor range from caesarstone; and find more Australia-made furniture and homewares in the updated offering from retailer Freedom Furniture.

This episode is supported by leading Sydney real estate agent Ercan Ersan, who you can trust to connect you with the property that's right for your lifestyle.
