Rowena Similar spent her childhood days in Sampaloc, Manila before moving to Southern CA at the age of 11. She values the importance of preserving the Filipino language and culture. With the birth of her son, she always knew that passing on this knowledge would be part of their lifestyle. She wrote this story with the hopes of inspiring other parents to explore other cultures with their children.
