The final story for Season 1 is Rio’s story. Rio tells us about her pain free homebirth and unfortunately how her immediate postpartum was sabotaged by impatient midwives. Rio had a lot of fear and traumatic stories around breastfeeding so when it was a struggle to latch and breastfeed she needed support from an IBCLC and nipple shields. Her story is ultimately triumphant and an incredible example of how a mother’s perseverance and community support can transform breastfeeding struggle into breastfeeding ease.
