The men in Ezra 9:1-3 failed to separate themselves from the bad behavior of the surrounding nations and were subsequently caught up in sin, far from God, and failing as spiritual leaders. As Nehemiah rebuilds the city wall, he encounters opposition, attacks, and criticism but manages all these situations biblically.
