In this episode of The Athlete Builder we are joined again by Indiana Boxing Hall of Fame member Kristy Rose Follmar. Rose Talks about her trials and struggles growing up that helped forge her love and passion for boxing and helping others. Rose's journey into boxing began as a way to cope with the loss of her father and find a connection with him. She started hitting a heavy bag in her garage and eventually found her way to a boxing gym in Muncie, Indiana. Despite initial resistance from the coaches, Rose proved herself and became a dedicated boxer. She won her first official fights in a tough man tournament and went on to compete in the Indiana Golden Gloves, winning the championship in 2000 and 2001. Rose's athletic background and the support of her coaches and fellow boxers played a crucial role in her success. Kristy Rose Follmar shares her experiences in boxing and the importance of technical skills and mental toughness.
