Firstly, it doesn't take much to derail YOU; if you're supremely talented, be prepared for those challenges/ obstacles that might derail you but you getting back, is dependent on your ability. Dustin was faced with so many challenges but his determination and ability makes him to succeed in his career.
Secondly, you need to love to complete. As seen in Dustin story, his father always put him out to compete with others who happened to be older than him and he always win.
Thirdly, it is important to know that what get measured gets IMPROVED. You need to measure the various aspect of your game, to know how you need to improve on that aspect. Continuous monitoring and evaluation, it will help you to identify your strength & weaknesses to enable improve on those areas.
