The former big leaguer did not throw a varsity high school pitch until his junior year. Due to a few injuries on his high school varsity team in 2008, Pat got the nod as opening day starter and never looked back. The 6’6 right handed pitcher went on to compile a 20-0 career record with a 1.52 ERA at Christian Brothers Academy. 20-0 is the best career record in Shore Conference history. This would not be the only history Light would make. Following a stellar Junior season at Monmouth University, Light was drafted 37th overall, the highest draft pick in NEC history. A kid who did not make his varsity high school team at first, went on to being the NJCBA Pitcher of the Year, named to the USA Golden Spikes Award list, and an ABCA Third Team All-American. Pat shares many experiences along his journey from a former first round pick to pursuing his passions and dreams in the business world today. Currently, Light is back in class finishing his degree as well as owning two bars (Green Rock and Saku) in Hoboken, NJ.
