As much as we'd like to know where faith will take us, we just can't. Faith is allergic to our need to control it, to predict where it will lead us. Bummer, isn't it? In today's sermon Derek looks at and reflects on the invitation of Jesus to "come and see."

This is the one where Jesus is baptized in the Jordan and, as the story goes, the Spirit of God descended on his "like a dove." Long seen as a symbol of peace and life and hope, the dove marks Jesus as a different sort of king. Yes, there was talk of naming this sermon "When Doves Cry."
