Atlanta's Own: An Atlanta Sports Podcast

As preseason wraps up, the boys discuss some of the positional battles that they are excited to see play out for the Marcus Mariota led Falcons. The Braves continue to roll on the field while Marcell Ozuna continues to get arrested off the field.

The boys break down the Falcons first preseason game which was actually exciting. We talk about how great it is to have mobile quarterbacks again, encouraging signs from the running backs and then talk Braves and how they've done a complete 180 since getting pounded by the Mets, Vaughn Grissom's rise, and how sweet it is to see Marcell Ozuna benched after a season's worth of poor play.

The boys discuss the beatdown/reality check that was the 5 game series in New York and get into a heated Marcell Ozuna argument. The Falcons roster looks much improved ahead of their first preseason game, and Graham gets surprisingly optimistic about a team that he recently bet wouldn't win more than 3 games.

The boys break down the next Alex Anthopoulos masterstroke: A year 10 extension for Austin Riley. They also recap the Braves busy trade deadline moves, and look forward to Falcons season by diving into training camp.

The boys sit down to discuss this red hot Braves team as they continue to chase down the first place Mets. For the first time in years, Adam has a hot take that he's willing to bring to the air. The Hawks make one of the bigger trades in franchise history as they bring in Dejounte Murray, but sadly in the process also trade fan favorite Kevin Huerter.

The boys have a busy episode to take you through the happenings in Atlanta sports this week. We break down Freddie Freeman's first trip back to Truist Park since the Braves won the World Series, the emotions for all involved, Freddie firing his agent and just how damn sad and awkward this whole thing is.

We also talk about how great the Braves are still doing despite injuries to Ronnie, Ozzie and Jansen.

We wrap up the show to discuss the tepid Hawks draft night and how rumors centering around John Collins and Dejountae Murray continue to swirl.

In this week's abbreviated show, the boys discuss whether or not Spencer Strider should enter the rotation, should Travis Demerrtte be sent back to Gwinnett, Dansby's hot streak and how the Braves need to take advantage of an easy June schedule.

They also discuss how Deion Jones' trade value has tanked given his recent shoulder injury and the never ending battle of the Falcons not caring about their offensive line will continue to doom them.

For the first time in Atlanta's Own History, Graham listened to feedback that he has been getting for years and tried sitting closer to his microphone. As you finally hear Graham without having to strain your ears, you will enjoy some Braves conversation about some real concerns in this still early baseball season along with discussion about the Falcons rookie mini camp where we saw real leadership potential out of 3rd round QB Desmond Ridder.

While Adam goes on a nice vacay, user Josef Bell fills in to talk with Graham about Manny Pina's injury, the signs of life the Braves showed against the Brewers and the long term outlook of an uncertain outfield sans Ronald Acuna.

We also get Josef's thoughts on why extending Grady will help the Falcons in the long run even if the extension comes during a rebuild and Josef's opinion on the draft and why the Falcons have a long road to hoe.

In our quarterly Atlanta United update, Graham reveals his own ignorance by not knowing anything about United, but Josef paints a picture of a resilient team despite the injuries they've suffered.

The boys welcome college football (and huge UGA fan) Arthur Roche to the podcast to break down the Falcons NFL draft, and they break down why Charlie Morton continues to struggle with each outing for the Braves.
