The African Transformation Movement (ATM) is demanding accountability from the South African government and military leadership for deploying what they deem ill-equipped soldiers to the Democratic Republic of Congo. This outcry comes after nine South African National Defence Force (SANDF) soldiers and two others were killed in a battle with Rwandan-backed M23 rebels.
