* शरीर के गुण

*मन के गुण

*बुद्धि के गुण

यह सब गुण आत्मा के नहीं हैं। पर आत्मा ने अपने ऊपर थोपे हुए हैं। ठीक उसी तरह कैसे आकाश कभी नीला कभी लाल और कभी काला प्रतीत होता है ,परंतु यह सब मिथ्या है ।

उसी तरह संसार भी एक मिथ्या है। शरीर और मन को- आत्मा ने अपने ऊपर थोपा हुआ है।

यह सब विवेक की कमी के कारण है क्योंकि ना ही आकाश नीला है और ना ही संसार सत्य है।

परंतु प्रश्न यह उठता है जब संसार दिखता है तो यह असत्य कैसे हो सकता है?

संसार एक मरीचिका के समान ही सत्य है । इसलिए वेदांत में संसार को मिथ्या कहा गया है असत्य नहीं।

इससे संबंधित एक वाक्य यह है श्री रामचंद्र जी के गुरु विशिष्ट महाराज राम जी की शिक्षा के दौरान जब राम जी वैराग्य की स्थिति में पहुंचे तो गुरुजी ने उन्हें वेदान्तिक शिक्षा देना उचित समझा। उन्होंने समझाया जगत मिथ्या है ।यह सब हमारे चित् द्वारा रचित है।

हमारी भी तरफ कुछ सुनने वालों को गुरु जी की बात जमी नहीं और उन्होंने गुरु वशिष्ट की परीक्षा लेनी चाहिए । कुछ शरारती लोगों ने शराबी हाथी को तंग गली में छोड़ दिया जहां गुरु विशिष्ट विपरीत दिशा से आ रहे थे। गुरुजी ने हाथी को देखा तो वह उससे भी छोटी गली में भाग खड़े हुए। तब,लोगों ने उनसे पूछा- जगत मिथ्या तो हाथी भी मिथ्या। आप भागे क्यों? गुरुजी बोले हाथी मिथ्या मेरा भागना भी मिथ्या ही हुआ।

इस तरह जगत को सत्य मानने से जगत सत्य नहीं हो जाता। ठीक वैसे ही जैसे स्वयं को शरीर , मन- बुद्धि मानने से उसके गुण हम में नहीं आ सकते ।क्योंकि हम परम आनंदमय, चैतन्य , सर्वव्यापी और अपरिवर्तनशील हैं और ऐसे ही रहेंगे।

विवेक बहुत जरूरी है- यह सब समझने के लिए। संसार झूठा नहीं है मिथ्या है।

चित चितेरा है। इसी ने संसार को चित्रित किया हुआ है। ‌चित्

वृत्तियों का फल है।

इसलिए जो दिखता है वही सच है यह अज्ञानी लोगों की समझ है। ज्ञानी इस बात को भलीभांति जानता है कि वे चैतन्य रूप है।

Verse 21

Just as colours like blue or orange are superimposed on the sky, superimposition of attributes of body-sense-mind onto the Atman, is a delusion and this happens because of ignorance, and lack of discriminative wisdom.

One regards,

the body's qualities as his/her own qualities;

the mind attributes as his/her own attributes;

the intellect's abilities as his/her own abilities - it is due to the delusion and lack of discriminative Wisdom/ viveka.

The simile of the blue sky is commonly used in Vedanta. The sky appears blue, but it isn't. Similarly, the world appears real, but it isn't. Everything that is seen is an illusion, the eyes that perceive the world is also an illusion.

The world that we perceive is as real as that of a mirage. The Vedanta calls the world an illusion.

It is NOT UNTRUE, but an illusion.

There is a difference between the world being non-existent and the world being illusory.

Just by believing that the world is real, it wouldn't become real.

Just by believing oneself to be body-mind-intellect, their attributes don't enter the pure Self.

You were, you are and you will remain the singular non-changing reality.
