The Fire Meditation Technique

Drawn from the Vigyan Bhairava Tantra, this practice burns away heaviness and reveals the pure witness within. The meditator visualises a subtle, luminous fire rising from the toes—soft, sacred flames slowly moving upward. Feet, legs, abdomen, chest, arms, throat—each part is touched by this transforming fire, turning to ash.

The body burns, but you do not.

What dissolves is the body, the mind’s residue

what remains is the eternal, untouched awareness.

This meditation reminds us that the true Self is beyond fire, beyond change—pure consciousness itself.

ग्नि ध्यान तकनीक

विज्ञान भैरव तंत्र में बताई गई यह साधना भीतर की जड़ता को भस्म कर शुद्ध उपस्थिति को प्रकट करती है। साधक पैरों की उंगलियों से एक सूक्ष्म अग्नि की कल्पना करता है—एक शांत, दिव्य लौ, जो धीरे-धीरे ऊपर उठती है। पाँव, टाँगें, पेट, हृदय, भुजाएँ, गला—सब अग्नि-स्पर्श से तप कर राख होते जाते हैं।

शरीर भस्म होता है, पर ‘मैं’ नहीं।

जो जलता है वह शरीर है, मन के विकार हैं—

और जो बचता है वह शाश्वत साक्षी है।

यह ध्यान हमें अनुभव कराता है कि वास्तविक अस्तित्व अग्नि से परे, परिवर्तन से परे—शुद्ध चेतना है।

Here is an introduction to Kashmir Shaivism, especially the Shiva Sutras as revealed in the book Shiva Sutras: The Supreme Awakening by Swami Lakshmanjoo (with commentary by Kshemaraja).

Kashmir Shaivism (also called Trika Shaivism) is a non-dual (Advaita-type) Hindu tradition centred in Kashmir. It teaches that everything is consciousness (Śiva) — the individual self is not separate from the ultimate reality.

It emphasizes direct realization of one’s true nature: to go beyond identification with the mind, ego, body, to experience that one is in essence Śiva (pure awareness).

The Heart Sutra is like a whisper from eternity, the distilled essence of the Buddha’s wisdom. Though brief, it contains the entire ocean of truth.

In its vision, the compassionate Avalokiteśvara reveals to Śāriputra the secret of existence: everything we see, touch, and cling to—body, feelings, thoughts, even consciousness itself—are but passing waves upon the vast ocean of emptiness.

This emptiness is not a void, but a living mystery:

Form is emptiness, emptiness is form.

The seen and the unseen, the finite and the infinite, are not two—they are one.

By entering this wisdom, fear dissolves, illusions fall away, and the seeker awakens to the deathless. The Heart Sutra closes with a mantra, a bridge across the unknown:

Gate Gate Pāragate Pārasaṃgate Bodhi Svāhā

—Gone beyond, utterly beyond, into the boundless awakening.
