Calder Holbrook joins me this week. Calder is one of the co-hosts of the AEDoubleback pro wrestling podcast, as well as a writer, stand-up comic, and actor. He also has one of the most extensive VHS collections of anybody you’ll ever talk to in the 21st century. In part one of our conversation, we just kind of shoot the breeze and get caught up in a very laid-back manner. Come back next week for the second half, where we get more into the podcast and some of Calder’s acting gigs! Follow Calder on social media at @CalderHolbrook

Cartoonist and graphic designer Wesley Griffith joins Andy this week, as they discuss Wesley’s newest independent comic book, ALL KINDS OF HELL. They also get into Wesley’s inspirations to make comics in the first place, which includes how he and Andy met. And the conversation is rounded out at the end with some oldschool anime chat, including the work of Rumiko Takahashi and a bit of Tenchi Muyo!. Find Wesley online either at WesleyGriffith.com, or on Instagram at @WesleyGriffith_ (don't forget the underscore!) to find out how YOU can get a copy of ALL KINDS OF HELL!

The first episode of Andy's follow-up podcast featured Val Hochberg, the creator of the webcomic series, Mystery, Babylon, which you can read at kick-girl.com! We did have Val on our live Atomic Monsoon panel at Phoenix Fan Fusion 2019, but I always felt there was definitely more depth to go into that we just didn’t get the chance to do at the live show. Val and I go into that depth on this episode, as we hit on what started her journey into making comics, some of her inspirations, and the weird coincidence that we ended up doing work for the same company in different capacities.
