Jonathan Carmenate is a proud Cuban American born and raised in Miami, Florida. Currently, Jonathan and his beautiful family reside in South Carolina where they founded Avita's Cuban Cuisine.  His goal entails creating a community with hospitality and tasty food. He discusses how he came across the idea of creating his business and provides insight to individuals looking to enter the catering / restaurant industry. 

Ana Perez is a Special Education Teacher in South Carolina. Her parents are from Guatemala & El Salvador.  She was the first person in her family to pursue a bachelor's degree. She discusses the challenges she faced as a first generation college student and her experience as a young professional. 

Denise Garcia Mesa is studying Computer Science & Economics at the University of South Carolina. She has held several leadership positions at UofSC including President of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers.

Antonio was born and raised in South Carolina. His parents migrated from Guatemala to the United States in 1989. In 2020, Antonio founded The Velasquez Company. TVC is a painting company located in Summerville, SC. His long-term vision for the company is to become the go-to painting contractor in the Low country for commercial and residential work.
