On this Friday May 3 edition of BangTheBook Radio, host Adam Burke and UFC expert Christian Pina talked at length about this UFC Fight Night 151 card from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada with a main event of Al Iaquinta and Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone. The guys opened with some very interesting betting angles with this Canadian-heavy fight card and about why you may want to be looking at the native fighters.

The guys also talked about Elias Theodorou vs. Derek Brunson, the impending brawl between Cub Swanson and Shane Burgos, some up-and-coming prospects like Sergey Spivak and Marc-Andre Barriault, and even talked briefly about the superfight coming up this August between Daniel Cormier and Stipe Miocic.

The Bettor's Box is the premier baseball betting podcast in the industry and host Adam Burke was here on May 2 to deliver another edition of the show. On this one, Adam talked about the results for A's vs. Red Sox and also the first three games of Padres vs. Braves. Then he looked at some regression candidates on the pitching side using LOB%, ERA-FIP, and wOBA-xwOBA. After that, it was time for our weekly Exit Velocity update.

Brian and Adam shared their thoughts, picks, and predictions for this weekend at Churchill Downs, but not until they gave out some general horse betting tips on what to look for and the different types of bets to make.

This was a very helpful show for anybody that wants to get into betting on the ponies and a helpful show for those that are looking to organize their thoughts for the Kentucky Derby and the Kentucky Oaks or the other Triple Crown races.

The Major League Baseball season is just over a month old and what a frustrating and challenging month it has been. Fortunately, host Adam Burke has been here to help on The Bettor's Box, our BangTheBook Radio MLB betting podcast. Adam was back to help again on Monday with a new edition of the show. After a longer edition of the Monday Mailbag covering topics like 1st inning betting and sacrifice bunts, Adam went Beyond the Box Score to look at Indians vs. Astros, Rockies vs. Braves, and A's vs. Blue Jays.

We've been talking UFC every week on BangTheBook Radio and we did that again this week, as host Adam Burke chatted with Christian Pina of the Sports Gambling Podcast about UFC on ESPN+ 8. Christian gave listeners thoughts on just about all of the matches on the card, including the main event with Jacare and Hermansson and also Greg Hardy’s second career UFC fight against Dmitry Smoliakov.

The guys jumped around the card to talk about Alex Oliveira vs. Mike Perry, John Lineker vs. Cory Sandhagen, Andrei Arlovski vs. Augusta Sakai, and the women’s fights between Carla Esparza and Virna Jandiroba and Angela Hill and Jodie Esquibel. Finally, the guys took a peek ahead at UFC Fight Night 150 next week in Ottawa with an overview of the card for early bettors.

Host Adam Burke hopped back on the air to go over a lot of different things in the baseball betting world, including a look back at Brewers vs. Cardinals, Nationals vs. Rockies, Mariners vs. Padres, and Twins vs. Astros. He also looked at early-season numbers with runners in scoring position to find outliers that are ripe for regression. He also gave out this week's exit velocity update.

We told you that we'd be having special editions of BangTheBook Radio throughout the spring and summer for big events. We've got one here this week with host Adam Burke and regular guest Joe Everett of NFL Draft Bible to take a look at the 2019 NFL Draft. The first round is Thursday April 25 with six more rounds after that. Adam and Joe talked about the overall draft class and then shifted to more of a betting focus with a whole bunch of prop bets posted in the market.

The main event features Alistair Overeem vs. Alexei Oleinik and the guys also jumped around the card to find some additional free picks and exciting matchups to share with our BangTheBook Radio listeners.

This is a tough fight card to handicap because there are a lot of unknown fighters and a lot of chalky matchups over in Russia. The main event features a couple of household names, but Islam Makhachev and Arman Tsarukyan is the lead-in to the main event. Marcelo Golm and Devin Clark are known names and so is Shevchenko, though Antonina is not nearly as well known as sister Valentina.

Adam and Christian worked their way through the card to find good betting picks and predictions for this one and also teased next week’s segment with a strong UFC on ESPN 3 card.
