Attitude Determines Your Career Altitude
Kristin Major, SVP of HR at Aruba (an HPE company) has gone from law firms to being an in-house legal leader to the field of HR. She joined the show to share her wisdom on all things people and how to get further in your career. She brought it all back to having the right attitude as a key to success. That attitude is one of excitement, passion for the organization, and being willing to take on the tasks you are asked to do with a positive approach and vigor. She also pointed out the importance of trust, honesty, and supporting the employee's work as well as their life as keys to a great culture. When you interview at a new company be sure to share what it is about the mission of the company that appeals to you. For a company to be truly excited about hiring you, you need to show you are excited about being hired by them.
