  • Ep 30 w/Karan Raju, Martha Kreuberg and Inga Floer - Love is Love and a Lot More

Hello everyone! This episode of The Attitude Makeover Show is as unique as it gets. It’s my absolute pleasure to have been joined by Karan Raju, Martha Kreuberg and Inga Floer - three psychologists and amazing personalities in a healthy polyamourous relationship in the Netherlands.

This episode really looks at the dynamic from three useful perspectives in a non-judgemental way and offers a warm, interesting and genuinely cutting edge approach to polyamory. From embracing individuality and personal identity, and keeping open channels of communication, to managing finances and showing compassion, the thoughts and insights offered by the trio will really transform the way you approach life and love, irrespective of the structure of relationship you believe in. Just like I did, you might end up pondering over the idea of ‘mine’ - holding on to labels even though everything is free, and the role of society in it all.

Be ready to open your minds to understanding what is fact and what is fiction about polyamorous relationships, and confronting your constructs be it normative, societal or egotistical. You are sure to takeaway a few key life lessons on constructive intent starting with “be and let be”. Listen on…

Hello dear viewers and welcome to the latest episode of The Attitude Makeover Show! My guest for the day is the incredible Raja Chidambaram, a change and leadership enabler - a man who has been helping organisations and people transform and stay ahead of the curve for 24+ years now!

Pivoting from a family business into a journey of self-discovery, he tapped into a niche area that may have been a path less taken back then but is everyone’s lookout today. He has worked with more than 120 client systems from various industries to deliver customised high impact change and leadership solutions. The highlight of the conversation was ‘Mental models’ and how they can become enabling or disabling beliefs, and how it influences our very being.

And more on perception building, validating assumptions, and understanding the dynamics in human systems for able leadership. He teaches us about how you can gain a mental edge from mental models.

  • Ep 27 w/ Lalitha Indrakanti - Taking Up Your Rightful Space

Hello from a brand new episode of The Attitude Makeover Show! Today, I have with me Lalitha Indrakanti, Head of Global Business Operations at Ingka group, IKEA. An unconventional leader with a strong business focus, she’s held several leadership roles across business lines over 20+ years.

As a small town girl with a different upbringing, she started working at 17 with a core belief of never giving up. She explains how the onus of decision-making all on herself right from a young age helped her rise through the ranks in her career. Getting into the details of her career, she talks about how it took her 4-to-5 jobs to figure out and shape her career based on what she wants to do. Another very important aspect that we touch upon is about being a woman in the workforce - Dealing with prejudices and stereotypes, prioritisation without guilty, and aiming for a ‘work-life integration’

Self-introspection and upskilling go hand-in-hand in this ever-changing world. She draws focus on how to stay updated to stay relevant. We also delve into the importance of a futuristic view, a work network, striking a fine balance in various roles, and establishing pre-requisites and non-negotiables to give your 100% to work, and lot’s more. There is a lot to learn from her about taking up your rightful space.

  • Ep 26 w/ Sundeep Rao - Understanding The World and Yourself With The Inner Eye

Hello everybody, welcome to The Attitude Makeover Show. Today, I’m in conversation with Sundeep Rao - India’s Funniest Partially Blind Stand-up Comedian who is crystal clear when it comes to his many views, observations, opinions in life. Diagnosed with juvenile macular degeneration, a retina disorder when he was nine years old, Sundeep chose to switch to stand-up comedy and use the stage to accept and spotlight his experiences without undermining it or over glorifying it.

Sundeep’s journey is one of highs and lows, but beyond that, we talk about the value of knowing who you are because if you don’t then it becomes all about what you do, and banking your self-worth on that can be extremely taxing. Sundeep lays it all out about how he learnt to do things differently because of his visual impairment, how he learnt to unlearn to unleash a new way of living that is truly his. He beautifully articulates the importance of focusing on what you can do rather than what you can’t, internalisation, setting priorities, and putting labels into perspective. His insight into understanding the world and yourself with the inner eye is valuable.

"All great change happens with an Attitude Makeover" - In line with this, Sundeep leads you to think about life as a collection of experiences and how it comes down to spending time with your body, mind, breath, and those who matter. This episode is going to be a revelation for you in more ways than one. Listen on…

  • Ep 25 w/ Tathagat Varma - Embracing Multiple Shared Identities and Cultural Agility

Hello everybody, in this episode I've got Tathagat Varma, also known as TV. Not only is his name unique, but so is his career journey and personality. He is a PhD scholar in AI Business. Previously, an ex-Computer Scientist with Defence Research and Development Organisation, he was the youngest member of the 13th Indian Scientific Expedition to Antarctica in 1993-95 for 16 icy-cold months. The expedition also taught him invaluable things much beyond the technical aspects of his work. He shares some of his unique experiences of how he witnessed human behaviour up close, and the nature of experimentation. He talks about the sociological impact that unlocked a new dimension of his personality.

This conversation elaborates beautifully on the facets of an organically evolving culture, a sum total of the mental models shared by a majority of people, as he defines it. A big advocate of servant leadership, he explains why he believes it is an enabler of success in the future and how it is complex in the Indian context. We talk about embracing multiple shared identities and cultural agility.
