We begin by recapping some of the events leading into the Money In The Bank and Extreme Rules PPVs. We begin by looking back at the May 23 and May 30, 2017 installments of Smackdown Live. The May 23rd installment looked at the fallout from Backlash and to set the stage for Money In The Bank as Shane McMahon announced the six men who would vie for the coveted MITB Briefcase. Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair looked for a bit of payback against Natalya and Carmella, Sami Zayn took on Baron Corbin in a Backlash rematch, Breezeango ended up with a Smackdown Live Tag Team Championship rematch against The Usos and, in the Main Event, AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura formed a dream team as they took on the United States Champion, Kevin Owens, and Dolph Ziggler. Meanwhile, the new WWE Champion, Jinder Mahal, celebrated his title with a Punjabi celebration. Dave runs down all the action for you on Episode 197.

The May 30th edition of Smackdown Live was a historic one. A Fatal 5 Way Elimination match between Carmella, Charlotte, Becky Lynch, Tamina, and Natalya disintegrated before it ever started. This led Shane McMahon to announce the first ever Women’s Money In The Bank ladder match to be decided at the MITB PPV. Also on the card this night, Shinsuke Nakamura teamed up with Sami Zayn to take on Kevin Owens and Baron Corbin. The New Day made their Smackdown Live debut and immediately challenged The Usos for the Smackdown Tag Team Titles at MITB. In the Main Event, AJ Styles took on Dolph Ziggler. Dave changes gears and then reviews 205 Live from May 23rd and 30th. On the May 23rd edition, the war of words between Neville and Austin Aries continued as they readied themselves for their Submission Match at Extreme Rules. Cedric Alexander returned from his knee injury, Rich Swan took on Ariya Daivari, while Drew Gulak continued to lobby for his No Fly Zone. In the Main Event, the bitter feud between Akira Tozawa and Brian Kendrick came to an end in a brutal, but excellent, Street Fight. Who came out on top? We review that for you on Episode 197.

On the May 30th installment of 205 Live, Rich Swan took on Noam Dar, Drew Gulak went up against Mustafa Ali, and Cedric Alexander continued his comeback. Austin Aries was quite full of himself having made the King of the Cruiserweights, Neville, tap out the night before. But the Cruiserweight Champion and TJP had a bit of a surprise for the Greatest Man Who Ever Lived. We fill you in on all the details on Episode 197.

Dave then recaps the May 24th and May 31st installments of NXT. The May 24th edition dealt with the fallout from NXT Takeover: Chicago. Alestair Black went up against Curt Hawkins in a rematch from Main Event a couple of weeks ago. The Velveteen Dream made his debut and Drew McIntyre tangled with Wesley Blake in the Main Event. As is often the case with the Episodes after Takeover, this installment focused a lot on recapping the action from Takeover. This one was no exception, although Black and McIntyre certainly made their presence felt. We have the details for you on Episode 197.

The May 31st edition of NXT was much more substantial as it began with Tomasso Ciampa offerring an explanation for his actions at the conclusion of NXT Takeover: Chicago. On Episode 196, we get you all ready for Extreme Rules ’17 as we check out everything that has been going on with the Red brand the past two weeks.

We pull double duty by recapping the last two weeks worth of Monday Night Raw. We begin with the May 22 edition of Raw. A match between Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt would lead to a big Tag Team Main Event as Roman would team up with Seth Rollins to go up against Bray and Samoa Joe. As for the fifth participant in the Fatal Five Way Extreme Rules match, Finn Balor, he was in action against Karl Anderson….but got an interesting visit from Paul Heyman along the way. Who attacked Enzo Amore? We have theories on Episode 196. Matt Hardy battled Sheamus with the winner getting to choose the stipulation for the Raw Tag Team Championship match at Extreme Rules. Elias Samson made his Raw debut against Intercontinental Champion, Dean Ambrose, Alexa Bliss took on Mickie James, and Tony Neese tried to slow the roll of Austin Aries. We let you in on all that went down on Episode 196.

We then recap the Memorial Day Episode of Raw from May 29th. This edition of Raw featured a huge double Main Event involving all five guys for the Fatal Five Way Extreme Rules match. In one Main Event, Bray Wyatt, Finn Balor, and Samoa Joe met in a Triple Threat match. In the other Main Event, Roman Reigns went one on one with Seth Rollins as the former Shield-mates squared off yet again. Who gained momentum heading into Extreme Rules? We let you know on Episode 196. Dean Ambrose teamed up with the Hardy Boyz to take on The Miz, Cesaro & Sheamus in a battle of Champions vs Challengers for Extreme Rules. A truly awful segment of Bayley…This is Your Life, another attack on Enzo Amore, a cryptic text about Kurt Angle, and a Tag Team match between Neville and TJP vs Austin Aries and Jack Gallagher rounded out this weeks action on Raw and we let you in on all the details on Episode 196.

We then review the May 16, 2017 edition of Smackdown Live, the go-home show for Backlash. In a battle of #1 contenders for the two main titles on Smackdown Live, Jinder Mahal battled AJ Styles. The contract signing for the Six Woman Tag match at Backlash, to no one’s surprise, disintegrated into combat and this would lead to a match between the Smackdown Women’s Champion, Naomi, and Carmella. From there, Dave and his lovely wife preview Backlash ’17. The world now knows how it all went down but how did Dave and his wife see things going? Who would prevail in a grudge match between two former members of the Wyatt Family? Could The Welcoming Committee turn back the challenge of Naomi, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch? On Episode 192, we continue to play catch up while bringing you another in our stellar series of interviews.

We begin by looking at all the action from the week of May 8, 2017. The WWE was across the Pond and we recap all the big news and events coming out of London that week. Dean Ambrose and The Miz were acting Raw GMs for this episode and this resulted in The Miz taking on Finn Balor while Dean Ambrose would battle Bray Wyatt in the Main Event. The situation between Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns exploded…and things did not end well for the Monster Among Men. A Tag Team Turmoil event took place to determine the new #1 contender for the Raw Tag Team Titles. Who emerged as the next team to challenge The Hardy Boyz for the Tag Titles? Hostilities persisted between Samoa Joe and Seth Rollins and this led to a match between The Kingslayer and The Destroyer. TJP took on Jack Gallagher, Alexa Bliss went up against Mickie James, and Sasha Banks tangled with Alicia Fox. How did this all turn out? We let you know on Episode 192.

It is then on to Smackdown Live which would see a huge 6 Man Tag match takle place pitting Randy Orton, AJ Styles and Sami Zayn against Kevin Owens, Jinder Mahal, and Baron Corbin. Along the way, Becky Lynch went up against Natalya, Dolph Ziggler confronted Shinsuke Nakamura, and Breezeango took on The Ascenscion as the pieces continued to move as Smackdown drew closer to Backlash.

We then look at 205 Live which saw excellent matches between Tony Neese vs Mustafa Ali and Akira Tozawa vs The Brian Kendrick. Did the Kendrick vs Tozawa feud come to an end…or did it just truly begin? We let you know on Episode 192.

It is then on to NXT, which saw Alestair Black in action, and an impromptu match between #DIY and the team of Riddick Moss and Tino Sabatelli. In the Main Event, Hideo Itami went to war with Roderick Strong, with the winner getting the shot at Bobby Roode and the NXT Championship at NXT Takeover: Chicago. Episode 193 is all about NXT Takeover: Chicago as Dave leads you into the big event in The Windy City.

We begin with a review of the May 17, 2017 installment of NXT. Drew McIntyre took on Sean Maluta, Lacey Evans battled Sonia Deville, and Kassius Ohno went up against Andrade “Cien” Almas in the Main Event. Plus, we got one more showdown between Bobby Roode and Hideo Itami before their NXT Championship match in Chicago.

We then take a look at the brand, spanking, newest exclusive event on the WWE Network, the United Kingdom Championship Special. This event truly set the stage for the UK Championship match at Takeover: Chicago as Pete Dunne took on Trent Seven to determine the #1 contender for the UK Championship while, on the same event, the UK Champion, Tyler Bate, tussled with Mark Andrews for the UK Championship. How did this all play out and how did it directly impact the UK Championship match at NXT Takeover: Chicago? We let you know on Episode 193.

We close things out with Dave previewing NXT Takeover: Chicago. How did he think things would go down? Did he see new champions being crowned? On Episode 191, we are joined by William Harding who told us a truly fantastic story. In 1981, a young man showed up in Frankfurt, Kentucky to try and escape the dreaded Sugar Hold of Bop Roop. If he could, he would win $1,000. What you will hear on this Episode is a true David vs Goliath story in more ways than one because the story doesn’t end with Bill breaking the hold; in many ways it only began. In an hour long interview, Bill tells this incredible story, one of the last remaining urban myths from the good old days. It is an interview any longtime wrestling fan will want to check out.

From there, Dave tackles some reviews from 205 Live and NXT from the past couple of weeks.

On the May 2, 2017 edition of 205 Live, TJP took on Lince Dorado, tensions continued to escalate between Akira Tozawa and The Brian Kendrick, Drew Gulak tried to impose his “No Fly Zone” on Mustafa Ali, and Noam Dar took on Rich Swan in a very personally charged match. We let you know how this all turned out on Episode 191.

Trying to get caught up in anticipation of NXT Takeover: Chicago? Well we have you covered as we go back to May 3, 2017 to review the action from that show. Killian Dane, Heavy Machinery and Hideo Itami were all in action. In the Main Event, a Battle Royal took place to determine the new #1 contender for Asuka’s NXT Women’s Championship. In the Main Event, Finn Balor, Seth Rollins and The Miz squared off in an excellent Triple Threat match to determine the new #1 contender for Dean Ambrose’s Intercontinental Championship. We then shift gears to Smackdown Live on May 2 that got going with Shane McMahon reclaiming the WWE Championship belt from Jinder Mahal and introducing us to the new United States Champion, Chris Jericho. AJ Styles and Kevin Owens both staked their own claims to the title but with KO getting his rematch with Jericho tonight, and AJ being barred from ringside, things would take an interesting turn.
