On our Mission Report Sunday we heard reports from those in our Auburn Family who have been serving in missions work this summer and beyond. We heard reports from Hockey Camps International, Operation Christmas Child, Youth Unlimited, our Cree Camp Ministry, and from two of the teens who served at Hope Valley Day Camp.

REJOICE in the LORD. Philippians 4:6 (NIV) “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” What is Paul trying to say to the Philippians? Why is this verse so popular? Why are so many people searching for this verse?

"Love is patient, love is kind." You've probably encountered 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 a few hundred times in your life between the inspirational posters, movie references, and, of course, readings at weddings. But, as with many of our pop verses, you might be surprised to find that the meaning has little to do with the way we use the verse day to day.
