Legacy is a series about living for something bigger than ourselves. As we step into a new season as a church, we're exploring what it means to build a life that leaves a lasting impact — not just what we leave for people, but what we leave in people. From Moses and Joshua to Paul and Timothy, Scripture is full of ordinary people who built extraordinary legacies of faith, and their stories remind us that every generation has a part to play in advancing God's Kingdom.

God’s story does not begin or end with us: each generation is called to receive, steward and pass on faith to the next. Drawing on Psalm 78, this message explores how we honour those who came before us, celebrate what God is doing now and make space for stories still to come. Through sharing testimonies, praying together and finding our place in church life, we can build a legacy that reaches beyond ourselves.

A lasting local legacy begins with being rooted in the local church, making Jesus our priority rather than fitting faith around convenience. Drawing on Psalm 92, this message explores how consistent worship and life-giving community strengthen and refresh us, helping us flourish and become a blessing to others. We’re invited to take a practical step towards belonging, whether by joining a small group, serving on a team or encouraging someone who needs hope.

Leaving a lasting legacy is not about making a name for ourselves, but making Jesus known in the places we call home. Rooted in John 3:30, this message invites us to let prayer deepen our love for our communities and to bring our gifts into the life of the local church. Through kindness, generosity and a simple invitation, each of us can play a part in helping others come to know Jesus.

Kingdom legacy is not simply what remains after us, but what keeps moving because we have passed on the faith we received. Drawing on Jesus’ Great Commission, this message invites us to keep being shaped by him, go wherever he sends us and help others become disciples. Whether across the street or across the world, we can play our part in God’s mission with courage supplied by the Holy Spirit, rather than pressure or guilt.

God is at work restoring what sin has broken, and he invites us to share in that work rather than grow numb to the needs around us. Through stories of family members coming to faith and the parable of the Good Samaritan, this message encourages us to pray for our loved ones and make room for compassion. A meal, a visit or practical support can be our next step in joining God’s work of restoration.
