ਗੂਜਰੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਕੇ ਪਦੇ ਘਰੁ ੩ ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ ਦੂਧੁ ਤ ਬਛਰੈ ਥਨਹੁ ਬਿਟਾਰਿਓ ॥ ਫੂਲੁ ਭਵਰਿ ਜਲੁ ਮੀਨਿ ਬਿਗਾਰਿਓ ॥੧॥ ਮਾਈ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਹਾ ਲੈ ਚਰਾਵਉ ॥ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਫੂਲੁ ਅਨੂਪੁ ਨ ਪਾਵਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ਮੈਲਾਗਰ ਬੇਰ੍ਹੇ ਹੈ ਭੁਇਅੰਗਾ ॥ ਬਿਖੁ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਬਸਹਿ ਇਕ ਸੰਗਾ ॥੨॥ ਧੂਪ ਦੀਪ ਨਈਬੇਦਹਿ ਬਾਸਾ ॥ ਕੈਸੇ ਪੂਜ ਕਰਹਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਦਾਸਾ ॥੩॥ ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਅਰਪਉ ਪੂਜ ਚਰਾਵਉ ॥ ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਪਾਵਉ ॥੪॥ ਪੂਜਾ ਅਰਚਾ ਆਹਿ ਨ ਤੋਰੀ ॥ ਕਹਿ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਕਵਨ ਗਤਿ ਮੋਰੀ ॥੫॥੧॥

ਦੁੱਧ ਤਾਂ ਥਣਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਵੱਛੇ ਨੇ ਜੂਠਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ; ਫੁੱਲ ਭੌਰੇ ਨੇ (ਸੁੰਘ ਕੇ) ਤੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਮੱਛੀ ਨੇ ਖ਼ਰਾਬ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ (ਸੋ, ਦੁੱਧ ਫੁੱਲ ਪਾਣੀ ਇਹ ਤਿੰਨੇ ਹੀ ਜੂਠੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਅੱਗੇ ਭੇਟ ਕਰਨ ਜੋਗੇ ਨਾਹ ਰਹਿ ਗਏ)।੧।

ਹੇ ਮਾਂ! ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਕਿਥੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਚੀਜ਼ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਭੇਟ ਕਰਾਂ? ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ (ਸੁੱਚਾ) ਫੁੱਲ (ਆਦਿਕ ਮਿਲ) ਨਹੀਂ (ਸਕਦਾ)। ਕੀ ਮੈਂ (ਇਸ ਘਾਟ ਕਰ ਕੇ) ਉਸ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਾਂਗਾ?।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।

ਚੰਦਨ ਦੇ ਬੂਟਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਪ ਚੰਬੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ (ਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਚੰਦਨ ਨੂੰ ਜੂਠਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ) , ਜ਼ਹਿਰ ਤੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ (ਭੀ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿਚ) ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੀ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ।੨।

ਸੁਗੰਧੀ ਆ ਜਾਣ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਧੂਪ ਦੀਪ ਤੇ ਨੈਵੇਦ ਭੀ (ਜੂਠੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ) , (ਫਿਰ ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੋਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਜੂਠੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ) ਤੇਰੇ ਭਗਤ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰਨ?।੩।

(ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਤਨ ਤੇ ਮਨ ਅਰਪਣ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਤੇਰੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਵਜੋਂ ਭੇਟ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ; (ਇਸੇ ਭੇਟਾ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ) ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ-ਰਹਿਤ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਸਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ।੪।

ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ-(ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜੇ ਸੁੱਚੇ ਦੁੱਧ, ਫੁੱਲ, ਧੂਪ, ਚੰਦਨ ਤੇ ਨੈਵੇਦ ਆਦਿਕ ਦੀ ਭੇਟਾ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ ਤਾਂ ਕਿਤੇ ਭੀ ਇਹ ਸ਼ੈਆਂ ਸੁੱਚੀਆਂ ਨਾਹ ਮਿਲਣ ਕਰ ਕੇ) ਮੈਥੋਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਤੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਹੋ ਹੀ ਨਾਹ ਸਕਦੀ, ਤਾਂ ਫਿਰ (ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ!) ਮੇਰਾ ਕੀਹ ਹਾਲ ਹੁੰਦਾ?।੫।੧।

Translation : The calf wasted milk from the teats; The flower broth (sniffed) and the water was spoiled by the fish (so, the milk, the flower, the water, these three became false and could not be offered before the Lord).l1l

O mother! Where can I get something to worship Gobind? No other (true) flower (adik mill) can (can). Shall I not (by doing this) attain that beautiful Lord?

Sandalwood plants are bitten by snakes (and they have made sandalwood false), poison and nectar (also in the ocean) live together.l2l

Even the incense lamps and Naveds (become false) as they become fragrant, (then, O Lord! If Thy worship can be done with these things only, then by placing these false things before Thee) how can Thy devotees worship Thee? I3I

(O Lord!) I dedicate my body and mind, offering as Thy worship; (Only with this offering) with the blessing of Satguru's grace I can find you without Maya.l4l

Says Ravidas, (O Lord, if you can be worshiped only with the offering of pure milk, flowers, incense, sandalwood and Naved etc., then by not meeting these pure things anywhere)l4l. I cannot have your worship and devotion. Then (O Lord!) What would have happened to me? .l5l1l

ਧਨਾਸਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ ਨਾਮੁ ਗੁਰਿ ਦੀਓ ਹੈ ਅਪੁਨੈ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਕਰਮਾ ॥ ਨਾਮੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਵੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਾਵੈ ਤਾ ਕਾ ਜੁਗ ਮਹਿ ਧਰਮਾ ॥੧॥ ਜਨ ਕਉ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਡਾਈ ਸੋਭ ॥ ਨਾਮੋ ਗਤਿ ਨਾਮੋ ਪਤਿ ਜਨ ਕੀ ਮਾਨੈ ਜੋ ਜੋ ਹੋਗ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ਨਾਮ ਧਨੁ ਜਿਸੁ ਜਨ ਕੈ ਪਾਲੈ ਸੋਈ ਪੂਰਾ ਸਾਹਾ ॥ ਨਾਮੁ ਬਿਉਹਾਰਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਆਧਾਰਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਲਾਹਾ ॥੨॥੬॥੩੭॥

ਅਰਥ: ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਦੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ (ਹੀ) ਵਡਿਆਈ ਹੈ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਹੈ। ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਉੱਚੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਹੈ, ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਹੈ। ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਵਿਚ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸੇਵਕ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ (ਸਿਰ-ਮੱਥੇ ਤੇ) ਮੰਨਦਾ ਹੈ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉਤੇ ਭਾਗ (ਜਾਗ ਪਏ) ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ (ਫਿਰ) ਸਦਾ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਹੀ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਇਹ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ੍ਹ ਕਰਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਪਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਜਪਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਨਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ) ।੧।

ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਧਨ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪਾਸ ਹੈ, ਉਹੀ ਪੂਰਾ ਸਾਹੂਕਾਰ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਆਪਣਾ ਅਸਲੀ ਵਿਹਾਰ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ, ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਸਰਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਖੱਟੀ ਖੱਟਦਾ ਹੈ।੨।੬।੩੭।

My Guru gives the Naam, the Name of the Lord, to those who have such karma written on their foreheads.

He implants the Naam, and inspires us to chant the Naam; this is Dharma, true religion, in this world. ||1||

The Naam is the glory and greatness of the Lord's humble servant.

The Naam is his salvation, and the Naam is his honor; he accepts whatever comes to pass. ||1||Pause||

That humble servant, who has the Naam as his wealth, is the perfect banker.

The Naam is his occupation, O Nanak, and his only support; the Naam is the profit he earns. ||2||6||37||

ਜੈਤਸਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ਘਰੁ ੨ ਛੰਤ ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ ਸਲੋਕੁ ॥ ਊਚਾ ਅਗਮ ਅਪਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਕਥਨੁ ਨ ਜਾਇ ਅਕਥੁ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਰਣਾਗਤੀ ਰਾਖਨ ਕਉ ਸਮਰਥੁ ॥੧॥ ਛੰਤੁ ॥ ਜਿਉ ਜਾਨਹੁ ਤਿਉ ਰਾਖੁ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੇਰਿਆ ॥ ਕੇਤੇ ਗਨਉ ਅਸੰਖ ਅਵਗਣ ਮੇਰਿਆ ॥ ਅਸੰਖ ਅਵਗਣ ਖਤੇ ਫੇਰੇ ਨਿਤਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਸਦ ਭੂਲੀਐ ॥ ਮੋਹ ਮਗਨ ਬਿਕਰਾਲ ਮਾਇਆ ਤਉ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦੀ ਘੂਲੀਐ ॥ ਲੂਕ ਕਰਤ ਬਿਕਾਰ ਬਿਖੜੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਨੇਰ ਹੂ ਤੇ ਨੇਰਿਆ ॥ ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਇਆ ਧਾਰਹੁ ਕਾਢਿ ਭਵਜਲ ਫੇਰਿਆ ॥੧॥

ਅਰਥ: ਸਲੋਕੁ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਆਖ-) ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਨ ਆਇਆ ਹਾਂ, ਤੂੰ (ਸਰਨ ਆਏ ਦੀ) ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਹੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚੇ! ਹੇ ਅਪਹੁੰਚ! ਹੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ! ਤੂੰ ਸਭ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈਂ, ਤੇਰਾ ਸਰੂਪ ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ, ਬਿਆਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਰੇ ਹੈ।੧।

ਛੰਤੁ। ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਜਾਣੋ ਤਿਵੇਂ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਤੋਂ) ਮੇਰੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰ। ਮੈਂ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਕਿਤਨੇ ਕੁ ਔਗੁਣ ਗਿਣਾਂ? ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਅਣਗਿਣਤ ਔਗੁਣ ਹਨ। ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੇਰੇ ਅਣਿਗਣਤ ਹੀ ਔਗੁਣ ਹਨ, ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦੇ ਗੇੜਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਫਸਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਨਿੱਤ ਹੀ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਉਕਾਈ ਖਾ ਜਾਈਦੀ ਹੈ। ਭਿਆਨਕ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਰਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇਰੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਬਚ ਸਕੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅਸੀ ਜੀਵ ਦੁਖਦਾਈ ਵਿਕਾਰ (ਆਪਣੇ ਵਲੋਂ) ਪਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ, ਪਰ, ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੂੰ ਸਾਡੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਤੋਂ ਨੇੜੇ (ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ) ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ। ਨਾਨਕ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਸਾਡੇ ਉਤੇ ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ, ਸਾਨੂੰ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦੇ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ) ਗੇੜ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕੱਢ ਲੈ।੧।

ਰਾਗੁ ਧਨਾਸਿਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ਘਰੁ ੪ ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ ਹਮ ਭੀਖਕ ਭੇਖਾਰੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਤੂ ਨਿਜ ਪਤਿ ਹੈ ਦਾਤਾ ॥ ਹੋਹੁ ਦੈਆਲ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੇਹੁ ਮੰਗਤ ਜਨ ਕੰਉ ਸਦਾ ਰਹਉ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤਾ ॥੧॥ ਹੰਉ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੈ ਜਾਉ ਸਾਚੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਟਹੁ ॥ ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਭਨਾ ਕਾ ਏਕੋ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਦੂਜਾ ਕੋਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ਬਹੁਤੇ ਫੇਰ ਪਏ ਕਿਰਪਨ ਕਉ ਅਬ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕੀਜੈ ॥ ਹੋਹੁ ਦਇਆਲ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਦੇਹੁ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਐਸੀ ਬਖਸ ਕਰੀਜੈ ॥੨॥ ਭਨਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਭਰਮ ਪਟ ਖੂਲ੍ਹ੍ਹੇ ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਜਾਨਿਆ ॥ ਸਾਚੀ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੀ ਹੈ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸਿਉ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਿਆ ॥੩॥੧॥੯॥

ਅਰਥ: ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਤੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਮੂਲ ਹੈਂ; ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਭ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ (ਤੇਰੇ ਵਰਗਾ) ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।

ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਅਸੀ ਜੀਵ ਤੇਰੇ (ਦਰ ਦੇ) ਮੰਗਤੇ ਹਾਂ, ਤੂੰ ਸੁਤੰਤਰ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ। ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਹੋ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੰਗਤੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਾਮ ਦੇਹ (ਤਾ ਕਿ) ਮੈਂ ਸਦਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ-ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਰੰਗਿਆ ਰਹਾਂ।੧।

ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ-ਵੇੜ੍ਹੇ ਨੂੰ (ਹੁਣ ਤਕ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ) ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਗੇੜ ਪੈ ਚੁਕੇ ਹਨ, ਹੁਣ ਤਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ। ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਦਇਆਵਾਨ ਹੋ। ਮੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੀ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ ਕਰ ਕਿ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼।੨।

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ-ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਭਰਮ ਦੇ ਪਰਦੇ ਖੁਲ੍ਹ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਸ ਦੀ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ) ਡੂੰਘੀ ਸਾਂਝ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ (ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ) ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਲਗਨ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਪਤੀਜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।੩।੧।੯।

ਜੋ ਜਨੁ ਭਾਉ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਛੁ ਜਾਨੈ ਤਾ ਕਉ ਅਚਰਜੁ ਕਾਹੋ ॥ ਜਿਉ ਜਲੁ ਜਲ ਮਹਿ ਪੈਸਿ ਨ ਨਿਕਸੈ ਤਿਉ ਢੁਰਿ ਮਿਲਿਓ ਜੁਲਾਹੋ ॥੧॥ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਲੋਗਾ ਮੈ ਤਉ ਮਤਿ ਕਾ ਭੋਰਾ ॥ ਜਉ ਤਨੁ ਕਾਸੀ ਤਜਹਿ ਕਬੀਰਾ ਰਮਈਐ ਕਹਾ ਨਿਹੋਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ਕਹਤੁ ਕਬੀਰੁ ਸੁਨਹੁ ਰੇ ਲੋਈ ਭਰਮਿ ਨ ਭੂਲਹੁ ਕੋਈ ॥ ਕਿਆ ਕਾਸੀ ਕਿਆ ਊਖਰੁ ਮਗਹਰੁ ਰਾਮੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਜਉ ਹੋਈ ॥੨॥੩॥

ਅਰਥ: ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ (ਮੁੜ) ਵੱਖਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ, ਤਿਵੇਂ (ਕਬੀਰ) ਜੁਲਾਹ (ਭੀ) ਆਪਾ-ਭਾਵ ਮਿਟਾ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ਕੋਈ ਅਨੋਖੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਭੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਭਗਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝ ਬਣਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ-ਮਿੱਕ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਾ ਕੋਈ ਵੱਡੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।੧।

ਹੇ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋ! ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਭਾਣੇ) ਮੈਂ ਮੱਤ ਦਾ ਕਮਲਾ ਹੀ ਸਹੀ (ਭਾਵ, ਲੋਕ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਏ ਮੂਰਖ ਆਖਣ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਕਾਂਸ਼ੀ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਮਗਹਰ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ) । (ਪਰ,) ਹੇ ਕਬੀਰ! ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਕਾਂਸ਼ੀ ਵਿਚ (ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ) ਸਰੀਰ ਛੱਡੇਂ (ਤੇ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਏ) ਤਾਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ਕੀਹ ਉਪਕਾਰ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਜਾਇਗਾ? ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਕਾਂਸ਼ੀ ਵਿਚ ਤਾਂ ਉਂਞ ਹੀ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਿਆਲ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਮਰਨ ਲੱਗਿਆਂ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦਾ ਕੀਹ ਲਾਭ?।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।

(ਪਰ) ਕਬੀਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ-ਹੇ ਲੋਕੋ! ਸੁਣੋ, ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕਿਸੇ ਭੁਲੇਖੇ ਵਿਚ ਨਾਹ ਪੈ ਜਾਏ (ਕਿ ਕਾਂਸ਼ੀ ਵਿਚ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਮਿਲਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਮਗਹਰ ਵਿਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦੀ) , ਜੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (ਦਾ ਨਾਮ) ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਹੋਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਕਾਂਸ਼ੀ ਕੀਹ ਤੇ ਕਲਰਾਠਾ ਮਗਹਰ ਕੀਹ (ਦੋਹੀਂ ਥਾਈਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਸਕੀਦਾ ਹੈ) ।੨।੩।

ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦਾ ਭਾਵ: ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਦਾ ਵਸੀਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਹੀ ਹੈ, ਕਿਸੇ ਖ਼ਾਸ ਤੀਰਥ-ਯਾਤ੍ਰਾ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਸੰਬੰਧ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।੩।

If Kabeer were to leave his body at Benares, and so liberate himself, what obligation would he have to the Lord? || 1 || Pause || Says Kabeer, listen, O people — do not be deluded by doubt. ਧਨਾਸਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ ਜਿਸ ਕਉ ਬਿਸਰੈ ਪ੍ਰਾਨਪਤਿ ਦਾਤਾ ਸੋਈ ਗਨਹੁ ਅਭਾਗਾ ॥ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਮਨੁ ਰਾਗਿਓ ਅਮਿਅ ਸਰੋਵਰ ਪਾਗਾ ॥੧॥ ਤੇਰਾ ਜਨੁ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਰੰਗਿ ਜਾਗਾ ॥ ਆਲਸੁ ਛੀਜਿ ਗਇਆ ਸਭੁ ਤਨ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਸਿਉ ਮਨੁ ਲਾਗਾ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ਜਹ ਜਹ ਪੇਖਉ ਤਹ ਨਾਰਾਇਣ ਸਗਲ ਘਟਾ ਮਹਿ ਤਾਗਾ ॥ ਨਾਮ ਉਦਕੁ ਪੀਵਤ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਆਗੇ ਸਭਿ ਅਨੁਰਾਗਾ ॥੨॥੧੬॥੪੭॥

ਅਰਥ: ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਤੇਰਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ-ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਕੇ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਵਲੋਂ ਸਦਾ) ਸੁਚੇਤ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਸਾਰਾ ਆਲਸ ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ, (ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।ਰਹਾਉ।

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਬਦ-ਕਿਸਮਤ ਸਮਝੋ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੰਦ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਸਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਕੋਮਲ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨਾਮ-ਜਲ ਦਾ ਸਰੋਵਰ ਲੱਭ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।੧।

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਮੈਂ (ਭੀ) ਜਿਧਰ ਜਿਧਰ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਉਥੇ ਉਥੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਰੀਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਧਾਗਾ (ਸਾਰੇ ਮਣਕਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰੋਇਆ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) । ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਦਾਸ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ-ਜਲ ਪੀਂਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਮੋਹ-ਪਿਆਰ ਛੱਡ ਦੇਂਦੇ ਹਨ।੨।੧੯।੪੭।

DHANAASAREE, FIFTH MEHL:

One who forgets the Lord of life, the Great Giver — know that he is most unfortunate. One whose mind is in love with the Lord’s lotus feet, obtains the pool of ambrosial nectar. || 1 || Your humble servant awakes in the Love of the Lord’s Name. All laziness has departed from his body, and his mind is attached to the Beloved Lord. || Pause || Wherever I look, the Lord is there; He is the string, upon which all hearts are strung. Drinking in the water of the Naam, servant Nanak has renounced all other loves. || 2 || 16 || 47 ||

ਸਲੋਕੁ ਮਃ ੩ ॥ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਜੋ ਮੁਹ ਫਿਰੇ ਸੇ ਬਧੇ ਦੁਖ ਸਹਾਹਿ ॥ ਫਿਰਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਮਿਲਣੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਨੀ ਜੰਮਹਿ ਤੈ ਮਰਿ ਜਾਹਿ ॥ ਸਹਸਾ ਰੋਗੁ ਨ ਛੋਡਈ ਦੁਖ ਹੀ ਮਹਿ ਦੁਖ ਪਾਹਿ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਦਰੀ ਬਖਸਿ ਲੇਹਿ ਸਬਦੇ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਹਿ ॥੧॥ ਅਰਥ: ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਵਲੋਂ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਹਨ, ਉਹ (ਅੰਤ ਨੂੰ) ਬੱਧੇ ਦੁਖ ਸਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੇ, ਮੁੜ ਮੁੜ ਜੰਮਦੇ ਤੇ ਮਰਦੇ ਹਨ; ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਦਾ ਰੋਗ ਕਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਛੱਡਦਾ, ਸਦਾ ਦੁਖੀ ਹੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ-ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ ਲਏ ਤਾਂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਉਸ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।੧। ਮਃ ੩ ॥ ਜੋ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਮੁਹ ਫਿਰੇ ਤਿਨਾ ਠਉਰ ਨ ਠਾਉ ॥ ਜਿਉ ਛੁਟੜਿ ਘਰਿ ਘਰਿ ਫਿਰੈ ਦੁਹਚਾਰਣਿ ਬਦਨਾਉ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਬਖਸੀਅਹਿ ਸੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਉ ॥੨॥ ਅਰਥ: ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਹਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਹ ਥਾਂ ਨਾਹ ਥਿੱਤਾ; ਉਹ ਵਿਭ-ਚਾਰਨ ਛੁੱਟੜ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਘਰ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਬਦਨਾਮ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਫਿਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੋ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।੨। ਪਉੜੀ ॥ ਜੋ ਸੇਵਹਿ ਸਤਿ ਮੁਰਾਰਿ ਸੇ ਭਵਜਲ ਤਰਿ ਗਇਆ ॥ ਜੋ ਬੋਲਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਉ ਤਿਨ ਜਮੁ ਛਡਿ ਗਇਆ ॥ ਸੇ ਦਰਗਹ ਪੈਧੇ ਜਾਹਿ ਜਿਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਲਇਆ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵਹਿ ਸੇਈ ਪੁਰਖ ਜਿਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਤੁਧੁ ਮਇਆ ॥ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਾ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਨਿਤ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਭ੍ਰਮ ਭਉ ਗਇਆ ॥੭॥ ਅਰਥ: ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੱਚੇ ਹਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੇਂਵਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਨੂੰ ਤਰ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਮ ਛੱਡ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ; ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਦਰਗਾਹ ਵਿਚ ਸਨਮਾਨੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ; (ਪਰ) ਹੇ ਹਰੀ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਤੇਰੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਭਰਮ ਤੇ ਡਰ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, (ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ) ਹੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ! ਮੈਂ ਭੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਦਾ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਾਂ।੭। SHALOK THIRD MEHL: Those who turn their faces away from the True Guru, suffer in sorrow and bondage. Again and again, they are born only to die; they cannot meet their Lord. The disease of doubt does not depart, and they find only pain and more pain. O Nanak, if the Gracious Lord forgives, then one is united in Union with the Word of the Shabad. || 1 || THIRD MEHL: Those who turn their faces away from the True Guru, shall find no place of rest or shelter. They wander around from door to door, like a woman forsaken, with a bad character and a bad reputation. O Nanak, the Gurmukhs are forgiven, and united in Union with the True Guru. || 2 || PAUREE: Those who serve the True Lord, the Destroyer of ego, cross over the terrifying world-ocean. Those who chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, are passed over by the Messenger of Death. Those who meditate on the Lord, go to His Court in robes of honor. They alone serve You, O Lord, whom You bless with Grace. I sing continually Your Glorious Praises, O Beloved; as Gurmukh, my doubts and fears have been dispelled. || 7 ||

ਰਾਗੁ ਸੂਹੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ਘਰੁ ੩ ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ ਮਿਥਨ ਮੋਹ ਅਗਨਿ ਸੋਕ ਸਾਗਰ ॥ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਉਧਰੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਗਰ ॥੧॥ ਚਰਣ ਕਮਲ ਸਰਣਾਇ ਨਰਾਇਣ ॥ ਦੀਨਾ ਨਾਥ ਭਗਤ ਪਰਾਇਣ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ਅਨਾਥਾ ਨਾਥ ਭਗਤ ਭੈ ਮੇਟਨ ॥ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਜਮਦੂਤ ਨ ਭੇਟਨ ॥੨॥ ਜੀਵਨ ਰੂਪ ਅਨੂਪ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥ ਰਵਣ ਗੁਣਾ ਕਟੀਐ ਜਮ ਜਾਲਾ ॥੩॥ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਸਨ ਨਿਤ ਜਾਪੈ ॥ ਰੋਗ ਰੂਪ ਮਾਇਆ ਨ ਬਿਆਪੈ ॥੪॥ ਜਪਿ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸੰਗੀ ਸਭਿ ਤਾਰੇ ॥ ਪੋਹਤ ਨਾਹੀ ਪੰਚ ਬਟਵਾਰੇ ॥੫॥ ਮਨ ਬਚ ਕ੍ਰਮ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਏਕੁ ਧਿਆਏ ॥ ਸਰਬ ਫਲਾ ਸੋਈ ਜਨੁ ਪਾਏ ॥੬॥ ਧਾਰਿ ਅਨੁਗ੍ਰਹੁ ਅਪਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਕੀਨਾ ॥ ਕੇਵਲ ਨਾਮੁ ਭਗਤਿ ਰਸੁ ਦੀਨਾ ॥੭॥ ਆਦਿ ਮਧਿ ਅੰਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੋਈ ॥ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ॥੮॥੧॥੨॥

ਅਰਥ: ਹੇ ਗਰੀਬਾਂ ਦੇ ਖਸਮ! ਹੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਸਰੇ! ਹੇ ਨਾਰਾਇਣ! ਅਸੀ ਜੀਵ) ਤੇਰੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਆਏ ਹਾਂ (ਸਾਨੂੰ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਈ ਰੱਖ) ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।

ਹੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਹਰੀ! ਨਾਸਵੰਤ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ; ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਅੱਗ, ਚਿੰਤਾ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਸਾਨੂੰ) ਬਚਾ ਲੈ।੧।

ਹੇ ਨਿਆਸਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਆਸਰੇ! ਹੇ ਭਗਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਡਰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼) ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਰਿਹਾਂ ਜਮਦੂਤ (ਭੀ) ਨੇੜੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਢੁਕਦੇ (ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਡਰ ਪੋਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ) ।੨।

ਹੇ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦੇ ਸੋਮੇ! ਹੇ ਅਦੁੱਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਹੇ ਦਇਆ ਦੇ ਘਰ! ਆਪਣੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼) , ਤੇਰੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕੀਤਿਆਂ ਮੌਤ ਦੀ ਫਾਹੀ ਕੱਟੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।੩।

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੀ ਜੀਭ ਨਾਲ ਸਦਾ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਉਤੇ ਇਹ ਮਾਇਆ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾ ਸਕਦੀ, ਜੇਹੜੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਰੋਗਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੂਲ ਹੈ।੪।

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਸਦਾ ਪਰਾਮਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ ਕਰ (ਜੇਹੜਾ ਜਪਦਾ ਹੈ) ਉਹ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਸਾਰੇ ਸਾਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ (ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ) ਪਾਰ ਲੰਘਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਪੰਜੇ ਲੁਟੇਰੇ ਉਸ ਉਤੇ ਦਬਾਉ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾ ਸਕਦੇ।੫।

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜੇਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਨਾਲ, ਕੰਮਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਇਕ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਰੀ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਦੇ) ਸਾਰੇ ਫਲ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।੬।

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਾਮ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਿਆ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਦਾ ਸੁਆਦ ਦਿੱਤਾ।੭।

ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹੀ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਹੈ, ਹੁਣ ਭੀ ਹੈ, ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਅਖ਼ੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਭੀ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ (ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਰਗਾ) ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।੮।੧।੨।

RAAG SOOHEE, FIFTH MEHL, THIRD HOUSE:

ONE UNIVERSAL CREATOR GOD. BY THE GRACE OF THE TRUE GURU:

Attachment to sex is an ocean of fire and pain. By Your Grace, O Sublime Lord, please save me from it. || 1 || I seek the Sanctuary of the Lotus Feet of the Lord. He is the Master of the meek, the Support of His devotees. || 1 || Pause || Master of the masterless, Patron of the forlorn, Eradicator of fear of His devotees. In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, the Messenger of Death cannot even touch them. || 2 || The Merciful, Incomparably Beautiful, Embodiment of Life. Vibrating the Glorious Virtues of the Lord, the noose of the Messenger of Death is cut away. || 3 || One who constantly chants the Ambrosial Nectar of the Naam with his tongue, is not touched or affected by Maya, the embodiment of disease. || 4 || Chant and meditate on God, the Lord of the Universe, and all of your companions shall be carried across; the five thieves will not even approach. || 5 || One who meditates on the One God in thought, word and deed — that humble being receives the fruits of all rewards. || 6 || Showering His Mercy, God has made me His own; He has blessed me with the unique and singular Naam, and the sublime essence of devotion. || 7 || In the beginning, in the middle, and in the end, He is God. O Nanak, without Him, there is no other at all. || 8 || 1 || 2 ||

RAAMKALEE, FOURTH MEHL:

Meeting with the humble servants of the Lord, I am in ecstasy; they preach the sublime sermon of the Lord. The filth of evil-mindedness is totally washed away; joining the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, one is blessed with understanding. || 1 || O humble servant of the Lord, follow the Gurus Teachings, and chant the Name of the Lord. Whoever hears and speaks it is liberated; chanting the Lords Name, one is embellished with beauty. || 1 || Pause || If someone has supremely high destiny written on his forehead, the Lord leads him to meet the humble servants of the Lord. Be merciful, and grant me the Blessed Vision of the Saints Darshan, which shall rid me of all poverty and pain. || 2 || The Lords people are good and sublime; the unfortunate ones do not like them at all. The more the Lords exalted servants speak of Him, the more the slanderers attack and sting them. || 3 || Cursed, cursed are the slanderers who do not like the humble, the friends and companions of the Lord. Those who do not like the honor and glory of the Guru are faithless, black-faced thieves, who have turned their backs on the Lord. || 4 || Have mercy, have mercy, please save me, Dear Lord. I am meek and humble I seek Your protection. I am Your child, and You are my father, God. Please forgive servant Nanak and merge him with Yourself. || 5 || 2 ||

GUJRI, FIFTH MEHL:

Serve your Guru forever, and chant the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe. With each and every breath, worship the Lord, Har, Har, in adoration, and the anxiety of your mind will be dispelled. || 1 || O my mind, chant the Name of God. You shall be blessed with peace, poise and pleasure, and you shall find the immaculate place. || 1 || Pause || In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, redeem your mind, and and adore the Lord, twenty-four hours a day. Sexual desire, anger and egotism will be dispelled, and all troubles shall end. || 2 || The Lord Master is immovable, immortal and inscrutable; seek His Sanctuary. Worship in adoration the lotus feet of the Lord in your heart, and center your consciousness lovingly on Him alone. || 3 || The Supreme Lord God has shown mercy to me, and He Himself has forgiven me. The Lord has given me His Name, the treasure of peace; O Nanak, meditate on that God. || 4 || 2 || 28 ||

ਗੂਜਰੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ ਆਪਨਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਰਮਹੁ ਗੁਣ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ॥ ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਅਰਾਧਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਲਹਿ ਜਾਇ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਚਿੰਦ ॥੧॥ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਜਾਪਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਾ ਨਾਉ ॥ ਸੂਖ ਸਹਜ ਅਨੰਦ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਮਿਲੀ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਥਾਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਉਧਾਰਿ ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਆਰਾਧਿ ॥ ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੁ ਬਿਨਸੈ ਮਿਟੈ ਸਗਲ ਉਪਾਧਿ ॥੨॥ ਅਟਲ ਅਛੇਦ ਅਭੇਦ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸਰਣਿ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਆਉ ॥ ਚਰਣ ਕਮਲ ਅਰਾਧਿ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਏਕ ਸਿਉ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਉ ॥੩॥ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਦਇਆ ਧਾਰੀ ਬਖਸਿ ਲੀਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੇ ਆਪਿ ॥ ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੀਆ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਜਾਪਿ ॥੪॥੨॥੨੮॥

ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ! ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਦਾ ਰਹੁ (ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਸੁਖ, ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ, ਅਨੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰੇਂਗਾ, ਤੈਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਥਾਂ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਰਹੇਗਾ ਜੇਹੜਾ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਸੁੱਚਾ ਰੱਖ ਸਕੇ।੧।ਰਹਾਉ।

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਪੈ ਕੇ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹੁ, ਆਪਣੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਆਰਾਧਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹੁ, ਤੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਹਰੇਕ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਇਗੀ।੧।

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਇਸ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ (ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਬਚਾਈ ਰੱਖ, ਅੱਠੇ ਪਹਰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਆਰਾਧਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹੁ, (ਤੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਇਗਾ, ਤੇਰਾ ਹਰੇਕ ਰੋਗ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਇਗਾ।੨।

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਉਸ ਮਾਲਕ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਿਆ ਰਹੁ ਜੋ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਨਾਸ-ਰਹਿਤ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਭੇਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਕੋਮਲ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਰਾਧਨ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਪਾਈ ਰੱਖ।੩।

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਮੇਹਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ ਲਿਆ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਪਾਪ ਖਿਮਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ) ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਹਰਿ-ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਆਖ-ਹੇ ਭਾਈ!) ਤੂੰ ਭੀ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਜਪਿਆ ਕਰ।੪।੨।੨੮।
