What is the MOST IMPORTANT thing we can do as Christians? Is it behaving well? Is it sharing the good news with as many people as possible? Is it going to Church every Sunday? NO! These things are great and important, but nothing in the Christian life is even remotely as important as simply looking at Jesus and desiring to know him better. Join us as William digs into this topic and we explore the nature of beholding Jesus Christ, the central figure in our faith.

Church of the Holy Spirit
In this sermon, Pastor William examines the Colossian heresy in more detail and extracts some important truths for us to remember. Religiosity, asceticism, and trying to save ourselves with our own good deeds are just some of the issues we face today that the church also faced when Paul wrote his letter to Colossae.

Long ago, the Israelites followed God, revealed as a cloud during the day and fire during the night, through the desert as they went to the land that they had been promised would be theirs to dwell in. The primary purpose of our lives is to love God and dwell with him forever, but so often we miss out on all the benefits of a relationship with God because we don't know how to truly get to know him and be face to face with him. In this sermon, William expounds on how we can experience the joy of a real, personal relationship with God our Father.

We've been talking for the last several weeks about the Father Heart of God and about our identity as royalty: sons and daughters of the King of Kings. It is so transformative to know who we are to God, our Father. But knowing who we are does not remove all of life's difficulties. It is a big temptation to try to do something about these struggles that is not what God wants us to do. Will we pass the test and trust God to act, or will we try to change our lives with our own strength? Pastor William shares insights from the life of Jesus to help us rise to the challenge in this final installment of The Father's Heart series.

Jesus said, "He who has seen me has seen the Father," and "I and my Father are one." In order to understand what God thinks of you and me, we can look to Jesus and his love for us. Jesus cares deeply for every single person on this earth, and even gave his life so that we could be adopted into God's royal family. When we remember just how much Jesus loves us, it is life changing.
