  • Noah and the Work of Faith – SFW8

This third lesson on faith from Hebrews features the example of Noah.  In Hebrews 11 it states that

By faith Noah, being warned by God about things not yet seen, in reverence prepared an ark for the salvation of his household, by which he condemned the world, and became an heir of the righteousness which is according to faith. – Heb 11:7

Paul Smithson illustrates from the example of Noah that proper faith includes doing the work God asks us to do.

  • Enoch and the Walk of Faith – SFW6
This second lesson on faith from Hebrews features the example of Enoch.  In Hebrews 11 it states that
By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, “and was not found, because God had taken him”;  for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God. – Heb 11:5

  • Respecting Authority; Aids and Additions – SFW3
This is the second sermon on the subject of Bible Authority.  In this lesson, Bro. Smithson discusses the difference between AIDS in carrying out God’s will and ADDITIONS to God’s will.  An AID is something that assists in doing what God commands while an ADDITION goes beyond what God commands and is therefore not allowed. In this lesson Paul explains how to understand the difference and gives many excellent examples for your understanding.
