Auf Die Fresse - the unofficial wXw review podcast

BackBodyDrop PLUS - 16 Carat Gold 2022 Preview

Time to dust off the podcast feed as Mike Kilby from EuroGraps.com joins us for a look at 16 Carat Gold 2022 - the first big wXw wrestling weekender since the pandemic.

Ian and Mike take a look through everything that was announced as of February 25 - so the big wXw announcement isn't talked about here... that being that the first halves of the first and last nights of Carat, in addition to Saturday's Ambition card, will be posted "near live" with English commentary on wXw NOW.

Since we're extremely professional, we forgot to plug our stuff at the end... follow us on Twitter - we're bound to be posting about Carat from Essen and Oberhausen next weekend:

We're back for another week to briskly run through the G1, along with some other news, including wXw's upcoming Catch Grand Prix, and this weekend's Collective events.

Two weeks into the G1 Climax, we take a look at the past few shows as everyone's perfect records have fallen by the wayside. Even Toru Yano's. We look at who may have gotten their last week of the tournament, and where the tour's going as it hits its busiest week yet.

With live wrestling around the world shutting down, we're joined by Gary O'Donoghue of EuroGraps.com to look back at wXw's 16 Carat Gold from earlier this month in Oberhausen.

What was planned to be a quick look at the shows turned out to be a recap of pretty much everything, as Gary completed the Wild Ride - so that means Wrestling Kult chat!

It's scary, uncertain times out there - stay safe and we'll all get through this together.

This time on BackBodyDrop PLUS... what else can we talk about? We're joined by Mike Kilby of EuroGraps.com to take a look at this weekend's 16 Carat Gold in Oberhausen.

We look at every announced match as we pick our winner of Carat, and predict whether wXw will crown a new champion... or whether David Starr is finishing up. We even look a little further ahead to September's Catch Grand Prix - just because!

(Note: this was recorded on Tuesday evening, before the announcement that Lio Rush had pulled out of the tournament. His replacement in the tournament is Jeff Cobb... just imagine we spend time talking about Jeff instead of Lio!)

We'll be in Germany for everything from the Inner Circle and the Turbinenhalle - live reports from all three nights of 16 Carat Gold, along with Ambition and the wXw NOW showcase. Keep an eye on backbodydrop.com and join us at instagram.com/backbodydrop to follow our stories from across the week in Germany!

(because of course...)

This time on BackBodyDrop PLUS, it may be stormy outside, but we go over the results from Rev Pro's first York Hall show of the year - High Stakes! The arrival of a new guard, how close this is to WWE from almost ten years ago, and what's next... all things we talk about ahead of our eventual review of the show.

This time on BackBodyDrop PLUS, we briefly touch on most of the latest tranche of WWE signings - and how putting pen to paper can be detrimental if you've not got stock behind you already. We also touch upon two announcements made literally as we were recording: a new 'Mania weekend show... and the final match for Rev Pro's High Stakes next weekend!

This time on BackBodyDrop PLUS, we think out loud about the same trick being pulled twice... then we drop by NOAH's latest sale, and what their move alongside DDT means for a casual fan... and then we end with some quick takes on the first few months of Rev Pro's life with Southside, and whether they're perhaps moving away too quickly?
