August 15, 2021 Sermon - Eating The Right Food
In this episode of Serving Jesus Christ, Pastor Swanson shares a Sunday message titled,
Eating The Right Food!
Did you know that your destiny is to live forever?
Maybe that thought has not crossed your mind. Perhaps, you think that the statement is false.
Perhaps your first thought upon hearing such an assertion is to think of that funeral you attended last week or last year.
By all accounts the person lying there in the casket is dead. He/she is no longer alive - they did not live forever.
And yet, though their body is now in the ground or their ashes in an urn, they continue to live - to live for all eternity.
The only question yet to answer is where? Where are they living?
Many today are hopeful that upon the death of their physical bodies nothing remains - that nothing follows them after death.
Such a hope resides in the modern-day philosophical belief of Annihilationism which is the belief that unbelievers will not experience an eternity of suffering in hell, but will instead be extinguished after death.
However, we are immortal beings!
Either we will be in the presence of Jesus Christ for all eternity or living with the devil and his angels.
There is a great difference between these two dwelling places.
