This Sunday's Inspirational Message is:
Preparing Your Heart for the Promised King
Advent is a season of anticipation—looking back to Christ’s first coming in the manger and looking forward to His triumphant return as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Today’s message focuses on Luke 19:28-40, the account of Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem. While this event is often associated with Palm Sunday, it is also a powerful reminder of what Advent calls us to do: prepare for the coming of Christ. In this passage, we’ll discover three key truths about our Savior:
1. Jesus is the promised King,
2. Jesus is worthy of our worship.
3. Jesus challenges our expectations.
The people of Jerusalem hailed Jesus as King, yet many misunderstood His mission. Today, we’re called to see Him for who He truly is—our humble, sovereign, and victorious Redeemer.
As we prepare for Christmas, this passage urges us to recognize Jesus’ kingship, worship Him with joyful hearts, and trust Him, even when His plans differ from our own.
