Daniel Robison's Input on Today's Devotion
There will always be people that are not in God's will following their own path. You and me have gotten off path many times ourselves and pursued our own selfish desires. When this happens, sin becomes the forefront of our community and injustice happens. We are seeing the direct result of sin in today's society. Just because we can do it doesn't mean we should. Just because it "Makes us happy" doesn't mean it's the right path to go. And happy for the moment may mean unhappy for the rest of the time. The guilt and shame that follows selfish desires is not worth a moment of happiness.
Until we, as a people, and the nation turn back to God we will not truly be set free from the consequences of the sins that we have committed. Maybe it's time that we stand up and speak against the sins of immorality, racism (in all races), ungodliness, paganism, laziness, selfishness and greed. It's time to accept Jesus and turn back to God and begin to worship and praise him. This is why we are here and why he created us. Let's try to keep that as our number one goal.
