Daniel Robison's Input on Today's Devotion
We've all been there. Had issues with others that we just couldn't handle. Even just seeing some people who have done us wrong boil us to the core. We see red. Most of us have even said things like, "I wouldn't put him out if he was on fire." and other, nastier comments. But whatever they did to you, no matter how sever. Think about it this way, did they beat you within an inch of your life, nail you to a cross and hang you up for the whole world to watch you die? Because of our sin, that is what each and every one of us did to Christ.
Being the great example that he was what did he do while he was on the cross? Besides the obvious, forgive us of our sins and even ask his father in heaven to, "Forgive them for they know not what they do." He took time to accept the thief on the cross into his kingdom and make sure that his mother was taken care of. Even in his most desperate time he was more concerned about others than he was himself. May we become as selfless and compassionate to others, especially our enemies, as Jesus was to us.
