Today we discuss salt and light and using just the right amount!

Daniel Robison's Input on Today's Devotion
Well, here we are at the end of another month. I hope your month went well all things considered. These are crazy times we are living in but also great times to be a Christian because we all have hope in Jesus Christ. Today we are studying about us being the salt of the earth and light of the world. Salt edifies food if you use the right amount. If you use to much it's overpowering. The same with light. If you shine the right amount it let's you see everything clearly, too much and it's blinding.
Think about that when sharing Jesus. Do you turn everything in your life into a discussion of Jesus? Think about when your at work and people are discussing their sinful life styles. Do you preach to them? Maybe you say, "I'm a Christian and I don't participate in such sinful natures." or do you just smile and walk away. As in the Old Testament book Song of Solomon, there's a time for everything and there's a time to take a stand and a time to be more passive. Today, ask God to show you just how much salt to pour on people or light to shine. We want people to be drawn to Christ not turned away. Don't be judgemental but show a loving and compassionate attitude today!!
