Daniel Robison's Input on Today's Devotion
Have you ever had a spat with someone and "unfriended" them. I'm not talking about on social media I'm talking about in real life. Sometimes we have disagreements or misunderstandings that are so brutal that they break up a friendship. I can recall a few in my day. I can also recall, more than once, apologizing to mend the friendship when I thought there was no reason for me to apologize (I mean, in my eyes I'm never wrong!) That apology wasn't easy but it felt better after I did apologize and I was glad I did it.
In my life there are very few, if any, people that I have shut off completely. As a matter of fact right now I can only think of one (now it's bugging you isn't it! You want to know who that one is.) There are some who still have shunned me but I will do my best to still help them and talk to them if I ever see them in public. I've mentioned it before but I'll say it again. A hug cures all. If I see people who have done me wrong in public I will run up and give them a hug. First, because I sincerely know that it never does any good to hold a grudge and second, it bugs them to death. But I'm sure Christ would do the same. Today, do your best to forgive those who have done you wrong and move on with life. It's too short to hold grudges.
