Daniel Robison's Input on Today's Devotion
Death is never easy and watching loved ones die is something we will witness many times in our lives. Some are people we grew up with that we may have lost touch through the years. When we see this we might be heartbroken for a minute and even attend the calling hours. Others hit a little closer to home. Grandparents, parents and other loved ones that are in our lives all the time many times leave an empty spot in our lives. These hurt us the most and that's when we can trust in the Lord that we will some day see them again.
Accepting Christ as our personal Lord and Savior is a decision each of us need to make. God made it so easy for us to receive salvation but so many people make is so hard. Why is believing that Christ rose from the dead and trusting that he will be with us and help us through all of our troubles if we only accept him so difficult for so many? Is it selfishness? Self centered thinking? Rebellion thinking? I will never understand it. At the end of the day the only person we can control is our self. Today, make sure that your ready for the day you take your last breath so the first person you see on the other side is Jesus saying, "Welcome Home."
