Daniel Robison's Input on Today's Devotion
When I was growing up I remember getting toys or shirts or other things that glowed in the dark. Well, as kids go, we have the patience of....... kids really don't have patience. They want everything now and when I would get anything that glowed in the dark I wanted to see it happen now. But how was I supposed to do that? Well, until we put the addition on our house it wasn't easy, but after we did I knew right were to go. Our bathroom. You see before the addition there was a window in our bathroom but after we put the addition on there was no widow. So I would go in there, close all the doors and shut of the light and wella, my toy, shirt, etc would glow.
We need the darkness, if for not other reason than to help us appreciate the light. Jesus is the light of the world. During these dark times when the world seems almost upside-down we need the light of the world to bring it back. And unlike my glow-in-the-dark items that only shed light central to it's location, Christ sheds his light throughout the world. If you feel frustrated with the darkness of the world today turn to the light, Jesus Christ.
