LMFT, Delena Zimmerman, and I clearly laugh to keep from crying.  Delana is brave enough to tell her truth and what she calls, Recovery, Resilience, and  Revival.  She shares her journey to Revival despite being victimized as a child and becoming drug addict.  I clearly was not ready for this interview and do not always channel my inner Oprah or Tamron Hall.  However, I am awed by Delana's ability to become a therapist and help others and the level of forgiveness that she displays.  Listen to what happens to children, who are left to raise themselves.  Trigger warning:  This episode includes discussion of rape and child abuse.  Please also note that this is part 1 of a 2 part series.

I am rarely at a loss for words, but I say very little during this enlightening conversation with Black Women for Wellness LA (BWWLA) Executive Director, Janette Robinson Flint.  BWWLA is focused on Reproductive Justice for Black Women and Girls in California.  Janette shares the totality of those things that impact reproductive health from Womb to Tomb, including environmental issues, affordable housing, and of course birth control.  Janette and I chop it up about the ways that BWWLA is addressing these challenges and how their volunteers, the “Fierce Aunties”, are supporting this much needed work.

I heard Tabitha Brown and husband, Chance, ask their daughter, Choyce, about adulthood and it reminded me of a topic that had been on my list since I began podcasting over a year ago.  So, I sat down with two GenZ young women and asked: “What Surprised you About Adulthood”.
