AURAcle - the Unsung Heroes

Mr. Hood's holiday house is full of magic. Kids with dull boring lives get invited to the holiday house for fantasy and fun to come into their lives, completely changing them. But behind such an innovative story like this, unsung heroes lie in this too.

One of them is Rictus.

He invites children to the holiday house per Mr. Hood's orders. Mr. Hood tries to harm them to make them stay forever but Rictus saves them. Do you really need just wings to fly? Don't you need air to push those wings? That's what Chugg is in the Disney Movie, Planes. He is no hero, he is not even in the race and yet without him, Dusty Crophopper cannot win the race. Listen and find out why!

Luisa has a superpower which is common to most superheroes, i.e., strength. And yet, in the movie, Encanto, she is an unsung hero. Barely ever in the limelight, almost assumed to carry the load of an entire village and soldier along. Every unsung hero needs a reminder, that they don't have to do it alone. Listen to this episode on how unsung heroes get their motivation, keep carrying on, even when there is no praise or trophy.

Do you know Vrushaketu? Do you know where he comes from? Does it ring a bell? If it does not, he is truly unsung. He is the son of Karna who survived the war which took his father and his identity. He did not give up, he took shelter under the Pandavas who embraced him as one of their own. He charted his own course, did not get bonded by his past. Listen in!

Luna Lovegood is often remembered as the weird friend of Harry Potter and his friends. She is different, she seems left field, but is she a hero? Without her, among other things, Dumbledore's Army might not have been, Harry might have been invisible on that train back to London and many other things would have panned differently in the story. You may not eve. know who Gus Polinski in the Home Alone series is. He is the classic unsung hero who thrives in the shadows but makes that little contribution that changes the course of the script, in this case for the good, but often time unpredictable. Without him, Kevin McAllister would not been home alone and we would not have gotten such a wholesome entertainer. Another episode where I highlight a real life hero from my everyday life. This time it is Master Kong (not her real name) who helped me with every move, stroke, kick to help me grow from a mischievous 4 year old white belt trial student to one step away from my black belt. Through COVID, tough times and not, she helped keep classes and the tempo going. I owe it to Master. Here is my small tribute with this episode. Mike is the elder brother of the main human character. He takes a supporting role, a classic trait of an unsung hero, but does he do enough that without him the outcome could have been different?
