Dr. Gil Levy is the director of the dept. of Innovation in Assuta Ashdod University Hospital. He is still practicing clinical medicine as the director of the Division of Female Pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery at the same hospital. He returned from New York 10 years ago after 17 years as a pelvic floor surgeon at various hospitals in New York including Mount Sinai hospital, Staten Island University Hospital and Maimonides medical center. His first start up company was established in 1996 as part of the governmental tech incubator in Ofakim, Israel. Today he is the chief medical officer of Lyra medical, which he founded in Israel six years ago.
