This is a full concert about Gallipoli in 1915 and the battle between the Anzacs and the Turkish troops specifically. It contains a narrative as well as a selection of songs in both English (to reflect the Anzac experience) and Turkish. This is the final part of this dialogue with Gary Dawson. In this podcast Gary goes into the history of folk dance and its movement since pre-Renaissance times to the present. He also articulates his philosophy of dance and the relationship between dance and community and the respective evolution of both to modern times.

In this episode I'm with Gary Dawson, folk dancer and dance teacher extraordinaire. Gary has spent much of his lifetime both dancing and teaching the dance to the music of many countries in the Balkans including Serbia, Northern Macedonia, Hungary, Croatia, Greece and Bulgaria. Gary's passion for the dances of this region has been deeply embedded in his life's philosophy which centres on unity through diversity.
