Danny recorded his final album 'Home' with me here at Blue Mountain Sound a mere four months before he died. It was a fitting tribute to a land he loved so much. I encourage you to visit Danny's website and purchase as much of his music as you can. While his music lasts for ever, his merchandise may not! Get it while you can. https://www.dannyspooner.com/...more46minPlay

April 20, 2020Anzac Concert The River of BloodThis is a full concert about Gallipoli in 1915 and the battle between the Anzacs and the Turkish troops specifically. It contains a narrative as well as a selection of songs in both English (to reflect the Anzac experience) and Turkish. The English songs were all written by Eric Bogle who very kindly gave me his permission to use his songs on this very special concert. There is a very special guest on this podcast too who is well known both nationally and internationally and well loved. He is sadly missed. My island home of Malta also features in this episode. Please make a donation to the Blue Mountains Refugee Support Group if you can....more1hPlay
