Good morning, it's Wednesday, July 24th. I'm Kyle Sauerhoefer and here's your local news from the Austin American-Statesman. Today will be sunny with a high near 90. It will be clear at night with a low around 65. Our top story is: Three-quarters of Austin’s short-term rentals appear to be operating illegally, according to a contractor the city hired to study the issue. Over 10,000 properties in Austin advertise as short-term rentals, but only about 2,500 of them are licensed, the memo said.
