Even while in relationship with God, you might find yourself in a season of disappointment. Has God been silent, said no, or not yet? Our willingness to put down our pride and trust his goodness can allow us to experience the peace we've been longing for.

There is always more going on in our relationship with God than we can see. It is through our humility and willingness to press into God that we will get closer to him and our answers have a chance to be revealed.

If we have people hungry, in our congregations, expectant for God, then we will hear him and he will move in our midst, regardless of sermons, members, or even worship style. Let us take to heart the biblical truth that when we are gathered in the name of Jesus, he is present. Are you lifting up your church in prayer throughout the week and expecting his presence at church on the weekends?

Don't let the power of God be limited by the barriers of cynicism, disappointment, or disobedience. Expect more from him and allow him to work through you in gratitude, worship, and obedience. Let him heal you and, then, watch him move!

Faith is reasonable and rational thinking at the highest level, but, yet, we struggle between believing in what we can see and what we cannot. Pray for God to give you the courage to expect more of him and more from him. It is through our faith and relationship with him that allows his power, authority, and goodness to be seen by us and by those around us. How willing are you to believe?

God honors faith and will exceed your expectations, but sometimes our preconcieved notions, lack of experience or indoctrination can keep us from believing in the abilities of our father. What are you expecting God to do and where does your level of faith need to grow?

Faith is paramount in the life of a Christ-follower. We must fight the temptation to settle for the abilities of this world, and, instead, fervently pray and patiently wait on the things that only God can do. Expect the miraculous!

He has risen! The resurrection of Jesus defeated death and brought hope to all who believe in him. Invite the power of the risen savior into your heart and experience the peaceful and abundant life that only he can bring.
