Toby and Kado are called out on a snake rescue just north of Australia Zoo. A Red-bellied Black snake has become entangled in netting and requires the skill of an experienced snake handler like Toby to help release the snake.

From koalas to Green Sea t

Cory and Kado have received information regarding a Sea Eagle that has been spotted in forestry 20 minutes from Australia Zoo. According to witnesses the Sea Eagle has not moved from it’s location in 2 days and seems to be unable to fly. Based on instructions they have received Cory and Kado attempt to spot the large bird of prey in the forestry.

Cory and Kado received a call the previous afternoon in regards to an injured Pelican in the Cotton Tree area of Maroochydore. Witnesses claim the Pelican has a fishing hook injury to one of it’s legs.

They could not locate the Pelican before dark but have returned the following day to continue their search.

Situated at the last location where the Pelican was seen, Cory and Kado search the area

Briano and Toby are called to a rescue they have already performed once before on the same Plover bird. This Plover seems to always find a way to entangle itself on twine and or fishing line.

Toby and Briano prepare the net gun for the capture while the Plover relaxes on the ground.

As Toby approaches with the net gun ready for the capture, the Plover seems to become cautious and decides to move

Cory and James are called to a primary school on the Sunshine Coast where they have found a Koala on the ground that appears to be very frail. The school teachers have placed a basket over the top of the koala to hold it their until the rescue unit arrives to assess the Koalas health.

Kado and James receive a late afternoon call on what has been a hectic day for rescues. It’s not uncommon to receive late calls or even after hours calls for animals in distress.

A local resident has spotted a Whistling Duck with twine entangled around it`s feet. The tricky part is this Whistling Duck is in amongst 250 other ducks. This will be a tricky rescue and release for James and Kado.

Toby and Andy are called to a Koala Rescue in the North Brisbane Suburb of Petrie. This particular Koala has been identified as has having a brown bottom, this is a symptom of Chlamydia and a disease that needs to be treated immediately once identified.
