no one can handle more than 300 units of stress in a twelve- month period without suffering physically or emotionally during the next two years. Holmes, of course, was speaking from a strictly human point of view - with God "all things are possible."

Loneliness doesn’t      always come from being alone. It can come from thinking you’re  alone, too.

Like Elijah, maybe you’re in a place where you feel isolated, abandoned, or forgotten.

Just remember, you don’t have to feel God to know that He is near. God is always with you.

For us, choosing to do what is right, even when we don’t feel like it, will triumph evil every time. So, the next time sin is crouching at your door, go ahead and grab that broom. Sweep it away before it even stands a chance!

The next time you feel inconvenienced or like your day is interrupted, stop and consider the sovereignty of the Lord. There is purpose in everything, and nothing is wasted. We only see the immediate, but God sees the grander picture.

When you hear the word “ambassador,” you might automatically think politician, someone who represents our nation in a far-off land, or some stately diplomat whose job it is to be the go-between for two foreign countries. This person might negotiate agreements, meet with foreign leaders, even play the part of peacemaker when trouble arises. But when we read the apostle Paul’s words in 2 Corinthians 5:20 that as Christian believers we are to be Christ’s ambassadors, confusion might swirl. How are we, as followers of Jesus, sheep of the Shepherd, supposed to be ambassadors of our Lord and Savior? What does it truly mean to become an “ambassador of Christ” in 2 Corinthians 5:20?

Have you ever been just a little bit afraid of the dark? Have you ever been in a place that was so dark that you couldn’t see your hand in front of your face, even with your eyes wide open? If you’ve ever been afraid of the dark, or been in a deep, dark cave, then you know how welcome a ray of light can be. Even a small light makes a big difference in a dark place.

Jesus Christ taught those who followed Him that they were “the light of the world.” He said that you don’t light candles and put them under baskets. When you light a candle, you put it on a candlestick so that it gives light to everyone in the room. He told us, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

Someone said, “I did this to show you that I care.” 

People have delivered flowers and candies for this very reason. 

According to John 3:16, God gave His only begotten Son to show that He cared. So, what do saints do to show that we care?
