Being open to a difference in opinion doesn't come easy, but it can be done. Understanding that we are all humans that make mistakes and should never be looked at as perfect. That is an impossible expectation to be held up against.
When we can go from what's in it for me, how will this impact me, what does this mean for me, me, me to instead understanding how it may affect others we can gain insight into another way to think about things. We often times find it challenging to see perspective or see things clearly until it's "close to home," impacts us personally or it has already happened.
Today, I tackle two very different topics (Covid and Business) that are defined very differently by many people which has caused sides to be taken. But, just what if we could bring conversations back to our tables and into our relationships so that we can gain perspective and seek to understand how someone else is experiencing things that is different than our own experience. Sometimes that means we just have to agree to disagree, but it's the lack of real conversations that has unfortunately created the new narrative that we hold onto. Join me as I dive in!
