AUTHENTICITY CALLING PODCAST
What If the Things That Set You Off Are Actually Trying to Set You Free?
Featuring Channy Mockin | Coach, Inner Child Practitioner & Conscious Relationship Guide
A trigger is not the problem.
It never was.
Channy Mockin has built her work around a truth most people spend years running from: the moments that undo us are the moments most trying to heal us. And she learned it the hard way, inside her own relationship, during pregnancy, in the exhausted and tender and impossible stretch of early motherhood.
This episode doesn't offer a tidy framework. It offers something rarer: two women being honest about how hard it actually is to love well, starting with yourself.
Channy and Ralitza go into the places relationships rarely get to go in polite conversation. The criticism we direct at our partners that belongs to something older. The communication we think we're offering and the communication that's actually landing. The 95% of our lives quietly running on programming we received before we were old enough to question it.
They talk about the inner child not as a concept but as a practice: what it looks like to pause in a moment of activation and meet the younger part of yourself that got scared first.
They talk about ADHD inside a relationship, and what happens when both partners are navigating a nervous system that the world wasn't designed for.
They talk about the difference between over-communicating and actually being heard. About compassion for a partner that doesn't require excusing what hurt you. About the affirmations and mindset tools that sound simple and work quietly and change things slowly, then all at once.
And they talk about time. The impossible scarcity of it when there is a baby in the house and a self that still needs tending.
This episode is not about having it figured out.
It's about what becomes possible when you stop pretending you do.
THIS EPISODE IS FOR YOU IF:
You keep having the same argument and cannot find the door out of it.
You love your partner and sometimes cannot stand them and feel guilty about both.
You know your reactions are about more than what just happened.
You are in the thick of new parenthood and wondering where you went.
You are ready to stop managing your triggers and start listening to them.

You Think You Know Who You Are. The Horses Disagree.
Featuring Lisa DeAngelis | Coach, Author & Change Architect
Authenticity is not a destination.
It is not a personality trait, a brand, or a fixed point you arrive at and stay.
Lisa DeAngelis learned this from horses.
And once she did, she couldn't unsee it anywhere.
Lisa has spent years working at the intersection of identity, change, and the stories our nervous systems tell us before our minds have a chance to catch up. She knows why change is hard not because people lack discipline or desire, but because the brain is designed to predict, protect, and repeat. And it is very, very good at its job.
This episode goes somewhere most conversations about authenticity don't.
Into the body. Into the predictive brain. Into the science of constructed emotion and what it means that everything you feel right now is partly a memory. Into the question of what becomes possible when you stop trying to define who you are and start showing up as who you are, in this moment, in this room, with this person in front of you.
Ralitza and Lisa explore what hypervigilance actually costs us, not just in crisis but in ordinary life, in relationships, in the quiet ways we perform safety instead of feeling it. They talk about the communities that make it possible to finally put the armor down. About vulnerability as a precision instrument rather than an open wound. About the men in our lives who were never given language for what they carry.
And about Lisa's upcoming book and her Change Lab: an invitation to stop managing your evolution and start choosing it.
This episode will make you question what you mean when you say you are being yourself.
That question is the beginning of everything.
THIS EPISODE IS FOR YOU IF:
You have done the work and still feel like something essential is out of reach.
You adapt well on the outside and exhaust yourself doing it.
You sense that your patterns are protecting you from something that no longer exists.
You are ready to embrace change as something that happens through you, not to you.

1,775 Days. No Charge. No Freedom. And He Never Stopped Choosing Hope.
Featuring Jose Angel Pereira Ruimwyk | Former CEO, Citgo Petroleum | Survivor, Advocate & Author
What would it take to break you?
Not inconvenience you. Not challenge you.
Actually break you.
Jose Angel Pereira Ruimwyk was at the top of his career, CEO of the sixth largest refinery complex in the United States, when he boarded a plane to Caracas for a business meeting.
He would not come home for nearly five years.
What the Venezuelan regime took from him was time, freedom, reputation, and proximity to everyone he loved. What they could not take, and this is the part that will stay with you long after this episode ends, was the place inside him where he had already decided how this story would finish.
One year of that imprisonment was spent in solitary confinement. He lost track of the days.
And still, he wrote letters to his wife. Smuggled them in and out of prison. Held onto the future by putting words on paper when the present was almost unbearable.
Those letters became a lifeline. They are becoming a book.
In this conversation, Jose shares not just what happened but how he survived it: the daily disciplines of positive thinking, physical movement, prayer, connection, and even laughter inside circumstances that offered almost no reason for any of it. He talks about spirituality not as a concept but as the actual force that held him together when everything else was stripped away.
And then he turns the mirror outward.
Because Jose believes, and Ralitza meets him completely in this, that most of us are living inside a prison of our own making. Mental. Emotional. Spiritual. Physical. And that the same tools that kept a man alive through 1,775 days of wrongful captivity are available to anyone willing to use them.
The choice, he says, is always there.
Even when it doesn't feel like it.
THIS EPISODE IS FOR YOU IF:
You are in a season that feels impossible to outlast.
You have lost your sense of how far you have already come.
You need proof, not theory, that the human spirit can endure almost anything.
You are ready to stop waiting for your circumstances to change before you do.
