Dr. April Hartman, an associate professor of Pediatrics and the Division Chief of General Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine at the Children’s Hospital of Georgia, is joined by Medical Student, Kayla Cooper to discuss pertinent topics surrounding individuals living with Autism with a pediatric lens. Specifically, they will:

  • Define, Explain the prevalence of, and discuss clinical symptoms of autism spectrum disorder
  • Explain the diagnostic evaluation of autism spectrum disorder
  • Discuss the screening and surveillance of autism spectrum disorder
