Recalls for the week:

  • Ford model-year 2016-19 Explorer SUVs with roof rail. dealers will secure the roof rails with plastic push pins for free. Ford will begin notifying owners June 28. If you have further questions, you can call the automaker at 866-436-7332, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236
  • Steering Issue Prompts Investigation of 1.1 Million 2013-15 Honda Accords. The petition for the investigation was prompted by owner complaints. The result of the NHTSA investigation will dictate if a recall will be issued, and owners of these vehicles should watch for announcements of a formal recall.

You can find out if your car has a past recall by going to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s website: https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls and inputting your VIN number. Or find their SaferCar app.
