Recalls:

  • quite a few Teslas Recalled for Faulty Seat Belt Warning The driver could consequently be unaware their seat belt isn’t fastened, increasing the risk of injury in a crash. As with the recall announced Tuesday for the “rolling stop” malfunction, Tesla will perform an over-the-air software update for free to amend this problem. The automaker will begin notifying owners April 1, but in the meantime, those with questions can call Tesla at 877-798-3752
  • Hyundai, Kia Vehicles Recalled for Engine Fire Risk Hyundai: The culprit is the antilock brake system module, which could malfunction and cause an electrical short. Kia: hydraulic electronic control unit that could cause an electrical short. Owners of both brands are advised to park outside and away from structures until the recall repair is complete. As a fix, Hyundai dealers will replace the ABS multifuse, then inspect and replace the ABS module as needed. Hyundai will begin notifying owners April 5. Kia dealers will perform a similar repair and install a new fuse for the hydraulic electronic control unit circuit board. Those owners will be notified beginning March 31.
