Recalls:

  • Mazda has issued a recall for various cars and SUVs related to a fuel pump failure that could cause engine stalling. To fix the problem, dealers will replace the fuel pumps for free. Mazda will begin notifying owners Jan. 11, 2022, but if you have further questions, you can call the automaker at 800-222-5500, option No. 4, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236
  • Audi recalled various vehicles from 2017 through 2020. A cable might disable the passenger airbag. 
  • Jeep’s recall involves various 2021 and 2022 models for incorrect software that can disable the driver, passenger, and knee airbags without warning. Audi manufacturer Volkswagen will begin notifying owners Jan. 7, 2022, while Jeep parent Stellantis will begin notifying owners Dec. 30. If you have further questions, you can call Audi at 800-253-2834, Stellantis at 800-853-1403, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236
  • Ram Recalls 2019-20 HDs, Chassis Cabs for Failing Fuel Pump Owners will be notified starting Jan. 1, 2022. Those with questions can call Ram parent automaker Stellantis at 800-853-1403

You can find out if your car has a past recall by going to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s website: https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls and inputting your VIN number. Or find their SaferCar app.
