Recalls you may need to know about

  • Takata Air Bags: Approximately 67 million Takata air bags have been recalled. This recall involves 19 automakers.
  • Ford: A rear toe-link fracture on certain 2013-2017 Ford Explorers can result in a loss of steering control. This can increase the risk of a crash. There are 645,000 affected vehicles
  • Chevrolet: High voltage batteries in Chevrolet Bolt vehicles can catch fire. This recall is for all Bolts, including vehicles that may have already had a recall remedy completed. There are 110,000 affected vehicles.

You can find out if your car has a past recall by going to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s website: https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls and inputting your VIN number. Or find their SaferCar app.


In the news: Toyota and Lexus show images of EV concepts. The company says it will offer 30 electric models by 2030 and claims to be working on solid-state batteries for both Toyota and Lexus models.
